It's an amphibious ATV.
Amphibious car by the way.
Turns out that "splashbus" is only a surname given by the company Splashtours that uses it. Actual model name is "Amfibus" by Dutch Amphibious Transport Vehicles. Based on a Volvo chassis which misled me on that vehicle's maker. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amfibus

JFK wrote IMCDB list it as 1969 Burgh Island Sea Tractor By Beare and Sons, Series III, quad and other all-terrain I think for the sake of consistensy i am going to list it the same. I think most swamp buggies from Switchcars are based on buggies like these, it seems most of them are custom-made vehicles, needs research. -- Last edit: 2017-06-21 01:23:05
Okay so I have an idea, how about we list these swamp buggies (or sea tractors or whatever you call them) the same way we list the dune buggies? There's no way we could get a real make and model out of these.
Even though I just added two other swamp buggies, this one remains inchanged after update 12.
I've classified the updated version of this vehicle as a Mitsui AST-002 which is even closer, even though it means the vehicle is driving in reverse gear the whole game.
The Ferrari 308 don't have such rear imo.

New version only got height increased, so I'm posting the sprite here so you could update:
It works for this one, but the other bikes, even though it's based on the same sprite, doesn't have the same features (double exhaust, seat size...) so I won't edit these until I found other variants.
Here is a screenshot of an identical car with the roof shown:
I'm pretty sure there's a way to get that scooter without "Big Bobo" in front of it, I missed it and went too far in the game to get a clean screenshot. But anyways I'm 100% sure it's a reused color-swapped sprite of the pizza delivery scooter.
The game was made with Unity, there are several models (of cars, guns, etc...) that are supposed to be placeholders and end up being a generic item on Unity games.
Could also be a Camaro, I listed it under 'Cuda but any opinion about it would be appreciated.
It's most likely a Cadillac, especially because of its surname "Gundillac".
??? I litterally searched for the game and found nothhing before adding?
"Dude, the bus texture you sent me is 27 pixel short! -aw man, uh, just copy-past the rear, not that people would care anyways".
Taking a picture of this one is really hard since it appears only on races randomly, I've tried to get the best angle (between the dogs and the sledge), but ended up with that screenshot and one where the pick-up is hidden by the musher, I'll try to get a better picture whenever I'll get a new one.
Just play, it's random common loot, you earn common drops after each matches.
Y'all, this car already has been listed as a BMW M3 : www.igcd.net/vehicle.php?id=3782
Either a Ford 7810 (closest match imo) or a Ford 8000~something.
I was at first thinking about an old Volkswagen Golf with a sporting look, since most of vehicles have an European style in this game. But I begin to be skeptical about that. For reference, there is only half of the character on the picture, but you can imagine how large (or not) this car is in the picture.
Not only there's a difference between the NPC and Playable versions of the Police car, but there's also variations between different cities; the aforementioned NY police car have a little difference and San Francisco police car have a white trunk among other things.
I also think it's closer to the old Boss Mustang.
Actually, even if the game claims it's a MkII, the front definitely looks more like the MkI. I'm editing it again.
Green bike on the left, which is basically using the same sprite as the playable bike.
Hummer H1? | ||
Bebesusenka wrote GM EV-1 Not an electric car.
Burn Rubber wrote Mercury Eight? It's the new design of the car listed as Mercury Eight, though I preferred to list it as unknown because maybe the car would look like something else.
Looks like a larger 4-door version of the Mercury Capri/Australian Ford Capri ( en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford_Capri_(Australia) ), need to research around there or maybe in Mazda convertibles (since it was related somehow).
After checking, it does looks like a Diplomat but there is some ressemblance with late 60's/early 70's Cadillacs and the Chevrolet Nova (esp because the Diplomat lacks the high rear lights while the other don't), but since only the Diplomat have the correct headlights and body in general, I'm listing it as an Opel but I'll mention nonetheless it has another car's rear (maybe because it shares it's ingame sprite with the Standardo).

Renault Type EU | ||
This looks like a 1906 Rover without the convertible hood on the back.
Another "prehistoric" car. If there is another reference to the Flintstones or something I totally missed it.
M@xtimot wrote Turns out to be that car, and the wrong car seems to be acutally pictured (has a colour I can't find in the colour list). Screenshot here and here. Seems relevant to quote this here
Desscythe17 wrote A picture would be nice. I'm not sure what Gran Turismo 2 is like with regional versions, but I guess for a non-Japanese region the car could be listed as Honda Civic instead of Honda Civic Ferio. Turns out to be that car, and the wrong car seems to be acutally pictured (has a colour I can't find in the colour list). Screenshot here and here. -- Last edit: 2016-07-17 23:23:27
Burn Rubber wrote Are you sure the game is correct? Sometimes GT lists the years wrong on cars Not 100% sure tho, need research for this one and probably an explanation. The date error confused me for a while since it's cars only available on the RNGed used car list.
This game states this car is from 1995 so I'm changing the year.
My missing car would be this one but I can't find that tone of red colour in the new cars.
Ok so I have a sedan version of that car (not classed as a Ferio, only Civic VTi) that doesn't seem to be listed here, should I take a picture or something?
Do you ever look at a colour name and think that's the best colour name you ever freaking witnessed?
Yeah I just noticed when I resetted for used cars.
Same car??? edit: nevermind, it's only a difference of driving wheel. -- Last edit: 2016-07-17 02:22:20 |
