Not sure if anyone noticed, but the T&C has a chrome strip across the rear liftgate, making this a 2011+ facelift model.
Is that a Volkswagen Passat [B2] next to the Astra? Or perhaps the related Santana?
Yeah, it's pretty hideous. Thankfully the upcoming second generation model looks SO much better than this one, based on how the concept looks.
I see two Toyota Mirai (green behind the Golf, and purple in the upper left) and an Opel Kadett Caravan [E] as well.
Lamborghini Countach with a Charger Daytona/Superbird rear wing.
Looks like a Nissan Fairlady Z or 3x0Z with some hints of GT-R [R35].
Agree on HiAce Truck. | ||
I'm thinking more of an Infiniti Q50
MkI Ford Cortina? | ||
Another difference I noticed is in the taillights and license plate surround. The Navigator has it's reverse lights in the license plate surround, while the Aviator has them at the bottom of the taillights, as seen on this model. That's...actually not a bad guess. A little shrunken down and some off details, but that's probably the closest a guess you could get with this car.
Actually, more like a Chevrolet Express or GMC Savana (grille isn't visible because of the angle and the push bar, so Express by default).
2000-05 Cadillac DeVille, or perhaps a brand new at the time 2005 Chrysler 300 or 300C?
Saints Row 2 (2008) | So, basically Volition has found the key to fixing the problems CD Projekt caused when they ported the game? Kinda funny considering how big CD Projekt has become, given how they couldn't even port a console title to PC properly back then. -- Last edit: 2019-12-26 05:25:47
You know what I realized? This is the first car in the game with a rather stock look, body parts wise, and also the first official car with functional lights, including brake and reverse lights. Could this be a possible indication of night racing coming in the future, or at least the option to make the game's cars look fully stock? Also, the police scheme has a choking hazard warning on the trunk.
Dacia Logan with different headlights?
My first thought was a Toyota Tacoma.
Side texture looks to be from a fourth generation Pontiac Grand Am coupe.
Not an AD 3100, Smokey is a 1946 Hudson Pickup. www.imcdb.org/vehicle_1030398-Hudson-Pickup-1946.html
Actually, there's also the Mirage G4/Attrage, though that's subcompact, not compact. An in their home country, there's Mitsubishi kei cars that aren't crossovers, as well as the i-MiEV, which is still in production and sold at least in Japan, with minor cosmetic changes made most recently in 2018.
I know this is a special version of the MudDigger, but since it's clearly supposed to be military spec, couldn't this be listed as an M1009 CUCV, just without the Blazer cap on the rear?
Honestly, I think the additional info should say something like 'inspired by Hoonitruck', since it's clearly based on it, but using a Chevrolet instead of a Ford.
Specifically, the late Benny Caiola, who was a friend of Horacio Pagani, and the very first customer of the brand.
Indeed, Skyline is now a sedan-only nameplate.
Green Flash, aka a blatant ripoff of the hideous Guaczilla GT-R, paint job-wise.
It's true. The dashboard is the biggest giveaway. Only the F1 models that are equipped with the 6-speed electrohydraulic manual transmission had the digital gear display in the cluster. Non-F1 models have an oil pressure gauge in that position.
Correction with this car: It's actually properly listed in the game as a 2019, as it's clearly a First Edition in Frozen Orange Metallic, the initial release of the [G29], just like the M5 was (and still is) the First Edition when it debuted in Payback.
Yeah, that's more like Passat B5 with some Golf/Jetta/Bora textures used on the nose.
Also, Abba Cab = Abacab, a Genesis song and album from 1981.
Honestly, I'm seeing a lot of E36 and E46 3 Series in this.
You mean the Enforcer, or it's earlier names Megadestroyer 1/2 or Super Cannon?
Something about this has me thinking either an old Cadillac or Lincoln.
Dodge Charger [LD]? | ||
Front reminds me of an old Jaguar. Maybe a heavily modified E-Type?
It's a steam tractor, that I can confirm. Not sure what manufacturer, though.
At least the Express is still relevant, since it's still in production as is. Heck, I'm surprised they didn't bring the Nissan Frontier traffic model.
Exactly. The DB11 will be in the next Bond film, though.
Just like the Ferrari 488 GTB, this Huracan has authentic race car parts that can be installed. In this case, the parts are from the Huracan GT3 and Super Trofeo.
Amazing how it went from unused Snoop Dogg album cover art to street art in a Need For Speed game.
'JPS' = John Player Special, an iconic sponsor of Lotus race cars from 1972 through 1986.
'PURRARI' = referring to Deadmau5' Ferrari 458, which featured a Nyan Cat livery and custom 'Purrari' emblems, which resulted in Ferrari North America serving Cease-and-Desist order over it.
Interestingly, it doesn't have the proper front bumper equipped, which IS available in the game.
Yet again, I'll provide an accurate explanation. 'SHAGUAR' = A reference to the Austin Powers films and the titular character's Jaguar E-Type, which is given this name.
It wasn't an abandoned garage, it was at Lucas' hideout garage in Rockville.
By the looks of it, the custom body parts, while not marked as Ferrari parts (rather as Carbon brand parts), allow players to replicate the 488 GT3 (with or without 24h race bumper lights) or the 488 Challenge.
But isn't the 993 technically Lucas' car?
Yep, just like a Porsche Panamera.
'FLORIO' - Targa Florio, the event from which Porsche named the Targa model after, and the event Porsche won eleven times.
'DTM2018' - Referring to the 2018 DTM season, and both the fact that Mercedes-AMG won the championship that season with their C 63 DTM car, and the fact that 2018 was Mercedes-AMG's final season in DTM.
'S0 80S' - So 80's, referring to the era from which this car is from, as the Countach is one of the biggest car icons of the 80's. |
