I wasn't the one changing the Stratum back and forth, I changed it twice iirc (once to Subaru and once to MFG), so stop for Christ's sake trying to turn me into some crazy bad guy here running amok and changing cars to whatever he seems to like.

But you did still change it back to both Subaru and MFG at a time when the generally accepted consensus was for Skyline, just because you personally didn't see it. Need I remind you that you referred to my carefully constructed evidence as "I'm right just because, and you're wrong", and that this is not the only time that you've blatantly ignored the evidence in favour of your own opinions.

As for anybody complaining in caps lock and exclamation marks, please just stop. Apparently we can't have a sensible discussion around here without somebody calling it a war. We're here to identify cars, so a heated debate about the identity of cars is hardly a problem.

And although I've run out of time tonight, I should be able to finally complete the Stratum stratagem tomorrow or at the weekend. I had wanted things to calm down a little before I posted it, but clearly the longer I leave this, the worse it's going to get.

Ferrari California

Grand Theft Auto V (2013)
And here goes the biggest debate on IGCD - can game developers create new body styles for real cars?

The simple answer is yes, because these are not real vehicles, they are lines of code tied to a 3D model and some textures. Since these cars are not licensed, the developer is free to do whatever they want with the car, hence why we get cars like the Surano - a Mercedes SLS with Jaguar F-Type details.

Here, we are looking at an Aston Martin V12 Zagato (check all of the rear details: body shape, lights, side vents, side windows, bumper, etc.) with some Ferrari-ish details slapped on and a unique convertible roof added, before it gets pushed under the Grotti name, the equivalent of Ferrari. Like the Coil Voltic, which is a Lotus Elise implied to be a Tesla Roadster, the Grotti Carbonizzare is an Aston Martin pretending to be a Ferrari California, so should be listed as the Aston.

On a side note, I'd like to point out the double standards of our old friend Tycek, who is perfectly happy with this convertible Zagato, but still can't come to terms with a wagon Skyline (*hint, hint*).

Ford F-100 Panel Van

Automation - The Car Company Tycoon Game (2015)
Same argument as in the Stratum case, but although there is no F-100 wagon, the vehicle shown here is still clearly based on the F-100 Panel Van already in the game, so is therefore not a Made for Game, but a Panel Van with windows on it.

I don't want to sound rude, but with every complaint you're making here, you're just putting more fuel on the fire. You've somehow created an argument about having arguments. Unless you've actually got something to say about the car, calm down and avoid the caps lock key.

I guess that explains it, but the new car is quite different to that car. I shouldn't have to say this, but we should identify cars based on what they are currently, not what they were in previous iterations.

And honestly, this is much less of a s**tshow than Burn Rubber is making it out to be..

Wasn't this fine enough being a Honda?

Because it has no relation to the Honda. Not really sure how it got that identification in the first place.

As previously established, it is entirely a Nissan Skyline R32 Sedan aside from the obvious wagon section. For some, that is enough to say that it could never be a Skyline, and were pushing the similar but arguably less accurate Subaru Impreza Wagon. Because no agreement was made, it has remained as Made for Game.

I had planned to create and post a detailed analysis to prove this once and for all, but I've been very pressed for time due to work. Maybe once that work is over (December 5th), I'll finally be able to sort this thing out.

For those who didn't catch it, I'm about a week away from this damn work deadline that's been holding back my free time. Once that's over, I'll try to explain this in the clearest way I can using whatever I need. It might be a little anticlimactic after the wait, but it should be enough to explain the reality of this car.

My point is that they could've got it wrong. The Man from U.N.C.L.E. features this 1984 Trabant, but the movie is set in 1963. Film makers and game developers get these things wrong all the time, so it could theoretically be any vehicle released before 2013, regardless of whether it fits the stated time period or not.

And we already know the HVY Cutter is based on a Made for Movie from Die Hard: With a Vengeance.

Or we just haven't found it yet. Given that almost every other car in this game is based on a real vehicle (with the only exceptions being generic race cars), I'd wager that this car is not MFG.

Pocket Road Trip (2015)
The cabin is the correct shape (although exaggerated), the side vent is the correct shape and position, the door is the correct shape and position, the rear bumper is the correct shape and position, the front bumper is the correct position, the sides are the correct shape, the taillight is the correct position and the headlight is the correct position (and the shape is copied from other vehicles in this game). The spoiler isn't right, but that's about it.

If you're only looking at the roll bars then I suggest you turn around and look again. The car's body shape/proportions plus other details like the side vent and spoiler are taken directly from the original Viper GTS.

I was going to send through a request for this to become a 1996 GTS, but somebody has already sent something through. I'll be disappointed if this shows up as a 2003 SRT10 later today...

Vulcar is swedish brand in GTA and the Ingot was probably meant to be a Volvo 850 or even an early V70 but as you can see Ingot looks NOTHING like Volvo.

I wouldn't say it looks nothing like a Volvo, since all of these wagons look similar anyway, but also the slab-sidedness of the Volvo is much closer to the Ingot than the alternatives. However most of it is definitely Stagea based.

Nice job :) . Good to see somebody else putting in the effort to back up their claims.

I've got to agree that this has a lot in common with a Stagea (the only real differences being the lower part of the front bumper and the angle of the rear window). I'm not really sure why there was ever an argument for the B4 Passat (the B3 would be more plausible).

On a side note, I'm still planning to do the Stratum comparison but I'm still incredibly busy and behind on work. The deadline is in the first week on December so maybe I can get something done after that.

Since we're now looking at 4 different names for the same car, we should really consider adding the chassis code to all 86's, GT86's and FR-S's, which I believe is ZN6 (although I've also seen them as 086A). The BRZ uses ZC6.

Donkervoort D8 Wide Track

Smashy Road: Wanted (2015)
This is in fact a 2003 Donkervoort D8 Wide Track, due to the split grille, dual circular taillights, circular headlights and rear bumper.

It certainly can't be a 2003 Caterham Super Seven Superlight R500, because a) Super Seven and Superlight would never be seen together on the same nameplate and b) the Superlight R500 started production in 2008.

Also, all Lotus Seven based vehicles, including all Caterham and Donkervoort models have exactly the same chassis and basic body shape. The Donkervoort is no more rounded than any Caterham, it's just the headlights and hardtop of later models deceiving you into thinking that.

Could anybody looking at this car just read the comments, okay?

TL;DR for the lazy:

1) Nissan never made an R32 wagon, so can't be listed that way.

2) This car is a mixture of elements from the Nissan Skyline R32 Sedan and Subaru Impreza Hatchback/Wagon.

3) I am currently working on some evidence to find out which of those two has a bigger influence.

I'm working on it. Let me deal with it, since I already have images that I've taken in-game to match with real photographs of each vehicle.

By the end of this week, it won't be Made For Game any longer.

Grand Theft Auto V (2013)
It's definitely an Impreza/Skyline mix (I don't think the Accord really comes into it), but I think its predominately more Skyline than Impreza and my research will probably support that when ready. Your single image was already 10x better than the "there was no licensed R32 Wagon!" nonsense, and until you posted that I thought somebody was just trolling by renaming the car every time we got it where we wanted it to be, especially since the vast majority of people both on this page and in GTA IV agree with the R32 classification. I don't think Made For Game is appropriate here since this vehicle is based on at least one real vehicle and is not totally alien (like every car in that new Transformers game), but I understand why you've put it there. Really we just need to come to an agreement on this and list it as the result.

Clearly you misunderstand me. I've already put a fair amount of evidence further up the page and it amounts to a lot more than just "I'm right and you're wrong". You either haven't read it or have chosen to ignore it, so I suggest that you go back and read it again, if you can. You've got to remember that I previously lobbied for this vehicle to be a Subaru, and I know exactly why anybody would believe that, because I once believed it myself. However, I've seen evidence to the contrary that would strongly suggest a different outcome and I've presented some of that evidence above in the quickest way I could.

I'm currently planning to present a full analysis of this vehicle as soon as it's ready, but it takes time to do and I still need to gather some resources. I have work to do in my real life that is of much greater importance than a stupid argument on the internet. When I have some free time, I will do this, but until then you'll just have to work with what I've already given you, which for some people is already sufficient.

Also, I'm not sure what happened to the Impreza image you posted yesterday? It made an interesting point that I was ready to analyse, but now all trace of it has been removed...
