sajmon14 wrote You mean like we add "Vapid Uranus" instead of just "Uranus"? Yes, exactly like that. Tycek wrote I didn't try to sound harsh and I'm sorry if I did. In fact cars in GTA world had manufacturers since GTA III, where Maibatsu Monstrosity was advertised in the radio. And to answer your second question, no, we shouldn't, because cars are still identified by model in the game (Bobcat, Moonbeam or Ruiner). Manufacturer is added in form of writing or logo just to increase the realism. And another reason, why everything should stay in actual way is that some cars doesn't have any logos and only way to identify them is to listen to the police radio. Okay, seems reasonable.
Tycek wrote You don't know much about new way of naming car in GTA, do you? "Declasse" is just manufacturer, parody of Chevrolet, so we got nothing, because cars in the game are identified by the model. Don't be too harsh on the guy. I had no idea GTA cars had a manufacturer until I came here... Speaking of manufacturers - should we add the in-game make to each of the pages on this site? Other games like this have the full name listed, so why not in GTA?
J-2 wrote The only GTA game to have random numberplates until now was San Andreas, IV lost that for some reason, and based on beta pics, we were supposed to get that (cars in the beta had a plate, but empty, without numbers or letters) and I'm thankful they're back, it adds a lot of realism, and since you can customize them (along with the entire car), it makes every car you own feel like it's really yours. It seems like R* is borrowing some of its vehicle mechanics from Midnight Club: LA, which would be amazing if it is true. -- Last edit: 2013-05-05 18:31:27
D.E wrote Same car? It's hard to tell, but the car in your image reminds me of a Volvo XC90 - 0.tqn.com/d/suvs/1/0/S/E/0/-/xc90_rear.jpg
I'm suprised that nobody has suggested it yet, but this is clearly a Toyota GT 86 - img2.netcarshow.com/Toyota-GT_86_2013_800x600_wallpaper_01.jpg Possibly based upon the 2011 FT 86 II concept? - justmotor.gtis.org/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/07-toyota-ft-86-ii-live-geneva-2011.jpg -- Last edit: 2013-05-04 00:35:14
Everything that matches the SLS is highlighted red, and everything green is the F-Type. I'll let the mods decide which one it is. Also, the logo on the hood resembles the Ocelot logo from GTA IV, which is used on the Jaguar XK/Ocelot F620. -- Last edit: 2013-05-02 23:16:36
D.E wrote Compared with the F-type, this car looks to be more 'boxy', more SLS-like, imo. Also, overall shape of the grille, and placement & shape of the side mirrors are similar to the SLS. The shape of the grille is practically identical on both the SLS and F-Type. The placement and shape of the side mirrors on the in-game car is much more similar to the F-Type than the SLS (the SLS mirrors are placed further from the body than the other cars). The in-game car's side grille is in exactly the same spot as the F-Type. The in-game car's headlights are very similar to the F-Type. Both the SLS and F-Type have the same shape imprinted into the side door, but the in-game car's side skirt is closer to the F-Type. The in-game car has F-Type wheels. I rest my case.
D.E wrote I'd say it resembles a Mercedes SLS. I can see where you're coming from, but there are more similarities with the Jaguar, including body shape, light design, etc.

civic_eg6_94 wrote Already uploaded it. Yes, the rear is more of a mixture between Jaguar XF with Maserati GranTurismo rear lights. Tycek wrote Yup, it's Bobcat with longer bed and different rear fenders. Uglier, but I hope they will also keep the one from IV. He's not the first one to point that out... Also, there seems to be a GTA IV style Bobcat to the right of the El Camino in the image.

civic_eg6_94 wrote No. Except the front, everything is different from this car. Have you actually played Just Cause 2? I you look at the back of the car, it is clearly a Maserati Birdcage 75th Concept. I don't actually see anything Beetle in this. It's just a 2CV with the front grille missing.
Origin: UK - the main plant for the Transit is in Southampton, UK (and has been since 1972). This will need to be changed for every Ford Transit on the site. -- Last edit: 2013-04-29 15:03:28

Remember that this game was made in the UK and this level was set in Soviet Russia, so it is likely (but not certain) that this truck originates from one of those countries. I agree that the grille is definitely from the Ford, and the cab is from the International Harvester, but the Morris is still the closest estimate for the lights and front fenders.
ShantJ wrote Were these sold as Shelby models only in the U.S., and still an AC elsewhere? From Wikipedia: Technically, every Cobra should be British, but Shelby versions should be made for USA. The cars were built in Surrey, England, but had US-built Ford engines, which distinguish the Cobra from the otherwise identical AC Ace. -- Last edit: 2013-04-26 18:58:29

This actually seems to have more in common with an Audi A5 Sportback, but still has some similarities with the Audi A7. Also, since this game's Panzer is an R8, it is highly likely that this is also an Audi.
