It's a tour bus, so it's likely based on something such as the Isuzu Super Cruiser - en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:P-LV719R-YamanashiKotsu-C386.jpg
I think this could possibly be "Made for Game"; it seems to look like a '70s/'80s wagon, but with some '90s styling influences. Didin't this appear in a couple of other Burnout games?
Playable/Unlockable, apparently it's a reward for reaching the top of the Law Enforcement Career.
Reminds me of a '70s Chevrolet Caprice, but it could be anything.
This van (well it used the same model) was playable in an older Burnout game, but I have no idea what it's based on - although there's is some definite Chevrolet Express influence on the rear, but the front looks more like a Ford.
Looks more like a Honda Civic...
I'm seeing more Crown Vic than Caprice in this one
I looked at Audi, BMW, and VW SUVs, and this bears a close resemblance to the Audi Q7 - although there is some X5 in it aswell -- Last edit: 2009-05-12 19:38:09
Considering that this shares the same "manufacturer" as the BMW based cars, it's more likely that this is based on a VW or a Audi
Vanhool A500, a blue one appears in SimCity 4. I noticed that a few of the vehicles in this shot are 3D versions of the in-game vehicles (the yellow car, small blue truck and the bus in the background) - if they appear anywhere else during the CGI cut scene, it may be helpful for identifying them...
The front looks like an Audi or a VW (specifically a VW Phaeton) - obviously an unconventional base model for a US limo, but this is just a game, so it's possible. I'm sure this is based on the same vehicle that the police use. -- Last edit: 2009-04-20 12:04:39
VW Touareg? | ||
It's probably more likely to be a 147
Looks like an altered version of the "Hippie Van"
Looks more like a Trabant
The only real-life vehicle that looks remotely like this is the Oshkosh Striker. I was actually kinda dissappointed that this didn't reappear in Saint's Row 2, especially given the fact that the airport is much more realistic.
Lotus Elise? | ||
Although it looks kinda like a Chevrolet SSR from this angle, it's actually based on a Jaguar (the rear styling makes it more obvious), like many other cars, this also appears in hard top form
This probably isn't actually the best image to represent it, as this one is heavily customised. It seems to be a mix fo older and newer Range Rover models, it also bears the same 'manufacturer' logo as the Halberd (Mini) and the Baron (Rolls-Royce) - that company seems to make "British" cars, so it probably is a Range Rover.
It's likely supposed to be a Hummer H1
It's either a Cadillac Escalade or a Chevrolet Avalache (it sometimes appears in pick-up form, but that's probably meant to emulate the Escalade EXT)
I'm not too sure if this is a Dodge, I'm sure it's 'manufactured' by the in-game version of Mercedes
When it appears as a hardtop, it looks reminiscent of a 2006 Honda Civic coupe - that's the problem with Saint's Row, there's so much variation for each car model that it's never easy to tell whether its supposed to be a covertable or a hardtop
Definately a BMW | ||
It is a pickup, it has a "pickup bed" area at the back. Well actually, the proper name for a car of this type is "Coupé Utility".
I don't think this is a Ford, it's 'manufactured' by the in-game version of Chevrolet (which also manufactures various other cars based on Dodge and Buick models)
Range Rover | ||
This car will sometimes appear with its bonnet/hood missing, I don't know why - it's definately not a glitch though.
Looks like a Honda Accord without flip-up headlights, I love this car, sometimes it will appear with a pizza delivery sign on the roof, lol.
Just to clarify, this is definately a Mini, the 'manufacturer' logo is the English flag, and it sometimes appears with a white roof (which sometimes has a decal on it). The foglight customisation options also make the mini inspiration obvious.
I made a minor mistake, it's actually 'Five-O', not 'Five-0'
Yes, I've changed my mind about this car, based on its 'manufacturer' it probably is, either, a Pontiac Grand Prix or a Saturn SL1 - I'd lean more towards Saturn SL1 upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/e/eb/1st-Saturn-SL1.jpg - there is alot of similarites, the only difference with the game version is the altered front.
gmguy wrote based on the shape of the roof rack and the fender flairs i want to say Nissan Xterra, but the spare tire location is wrong I think you're right, it just has more angular proportions, and by the way, alot of the vehicles in this game tend to look only slightly like their real-life counterparts - so it's not really surprising that the spare wheel is in the wrong place
Based on its in-game 'manufacturer', it's likely something Japanese, like a Honda or Nissan.
I'll assume that this is the same black limo that appears in The Sims, if it IS, then this car is an early '90s Lincoln Town Car Stretched Limousine
Yes, it's blatantly a 'mash-up' of Toyota Corollas, and the convertable version is merely the same car without a roof - simple.
Is it safe to assume that this is merely the Ford Econoline van (www.igcd.net/vehicle.php?id=15608) with a camper body?
Judging by the cab, I would say Scania, but it could also be a Hino or an Izuzu.
Yes, the purple one doesn't appear in the game, but a 'security' variation of it does www.igcd.net/vehicle.php?id=10687
It's a Nissan Sentra - like a few other vehicles in this game, this car appears in The Sims (obviously they are easier to identify in that game)
For some reason I immediately thought of a Plymouth Reliant or an older Dodge Aries, but it could be anything to be honest.
Renault C-Series www.hankstruckpictures.com/pix/trucks/len_rogers/sept8a/renault_c.jpg
Actually, when seen from the rear it looks almost identical to a 1992-1995 Ford Taurus, it even has similar tail lights. Even from this angle, if you ignore the blocky front end, it still has more in common with a Taurus.
I know this, obviously, isn't a Halftrack, but it has the same front end as the Halftrack featured in this game
I'm not too sure about the blue truck (it's probably a Chevrolet or GMC truck), but the blue car next to it is a Citroen DS. And I think the green truck is Ford LN.
Again, this is merely a stretched, and slightly altered version of this; www.igcd.net/vehicle.php?id=15308. It's probably meant to emulate an SUV limo.
Not a Lincoln, it's a stretched version of this; www.igcd.net/vehicle.php?id=15308
This is the wagon variant of this; www.igcd.net/vehicle.php?id=15308
Playable/Unlockable (you can only get it once you have the Military Base)
This is a 'shot-in-the-dark', but it looks like a late '80s Honda Accord - pity it isn't playable |
