Not the Halberd at all; it's a hatchback sure, but the similarity is extremely vague.
Looks like a "Dub" Cadillac Escalade, but with heavily edited textures.
Another Pontiac GTO. | ||
Listed as a Volvo in the other game's listing on this site, but it's definitely a Town Car from what is shown here.
Listed as a Camry in the other game's listing on this site.

Pontiac GTO, same as the other police car. The picture ratio is a little bit off, so it looks more compact.
I kinda like this, but I doubt it will appear in GTA V.
Yes it's a Transit, I downloaded this exact model back in college (along with the Kia Rio and the Camaro) to screw around with in Max. Every vehicle model in this game can be found for free on the internet.
Could possibly be a modified Chavos from GTA IV www.igcd.net/vehicle.php?id=12505 About 90% of the cars in this game are re-used from GTA IV, some aren't even altered at all (The Minivan, Bobcat and Feroci).
In ME2 it was referred to as a 'Tomkah', so I'd assume it's the same here.
About 90% of it is a Renault Trafic.
It's a UAZ 469. | ||
Yes, I'm not seeing the Subaru Impreza similarities at all. If it's an Accord/Aska though, the earliest model would be 1997. -- Last edit: 2012-04-11 16:43:17
It may be more similar in shape, but the overall styling is consistent with the L300. They obviously seem to have taken a few liberties with its design however. Useless bit of trivia here - a purple one appears later in the game. Every other one seen throughout the city is white. It's actually the indication of a hidden, much larger, backback that the player can use.
Generic kei-truck, could be anything; Daihatsu Hijet, Subaru Sambar, Suzuki Carry etc.
Toyota Himedic, presumably? -- Last edit: 2012-04-09 21:22:04
Isuzu Forward or Giga, although it seems too small to be the latter. There's also a flatbed version with slightly screwed up texture work on the front and a more traditional wheel set up. -- Last edit: 2012-04-09 21:17:59
Isuzu Super Cruiser, I'm pretty sure.
could possibly be a Suziki Alto or a Daihatsu Mira (both the same car, more or less) -- Last edit: 2012-04-09 20:55:29
From what I seen in the game, yes, it seems to be a stylised Golf. The style of the headlights make it a bit more obvious (which of course can't be seen here).
Looks like an old BMW. | ||
mr.mopar69 wrote those are from flatout 2. not Ridge Racer RVR72GV only mentioned that it looks like a car from Flatout 2, the screenshots are from RR:U.
Another van can be seen in the Port/Docks, it's a lot different to this one; it's based on a Dodge Ram Van. It's white with an amber light on the back. Unfortunately, it cannot be moved in the track editor, much like the trucks featured in that area. Just thought I'd point that out incase it went unnoticed.
With the positioning of the wheels and the overall look of the car, and keeping in mind that style of rear lights aren't exclusive to the C-Max, it's possible it's a current kei-car, such as the Daihatsu Move, or Suzuki Wagon R, but scaled up to the size of a minivan. It does have a lot in common with Japanese minivans aswell, though. The Mazda Premacy, for example, or the Honda Freed which is largely the same shape as this car. Of course, without a front end shot, it's not as easy to identify.
Looks Japanese to me. Not sure what make/model specifically though.
Wow, the game's existed for over 10 years and that's the first of me knowing about the Kindergarten Cop references. Pretty awesome, yet kind of random.
Oldsmobile 98 seems closest.
Could be based on a 1982-1986 Toyota Tercel, but it's not exact. The front is pretty similar and it's a 5 door hatchback, that's about it. I was wondering if this was maybe a heavily edited 1980s Honda Civic Shuttle, but every other car is pretty easy to identify, so I'm really not sure about this one.
Front texture is from an early 90s EU Ford Fiesta or Escort, but as for the rest of the car, I'm not sure. What does the back look like? May be an Escort Estate edited to look like a hatchback, It's definately out of place in regards to Silent Hill's setting though.
As far as I can tell, the interior is slightly bigger than the vehicle itself. Either that, or the interior has been incorrectly positions during the modelling process.
@Mieguy I'll be honest, I wasn't speaking solely to you in thatr comment, I was actually reading some of the comments before J-2's comment with the screenshots, and then noticed your comments afterwards arguing that it still may be based on a Range Rover. However, you seem to be basing this solely on the lights and grille, which as J-2 said, isn't important if the rest of the car is based on something else. If you look at some other cars from GTA IV, the Cognoscenti is a perfect example - it has elements from a Bentely (front end) and a Maybach (rest of the car), however, the Maybach influence overshadows the Bentley. The Sultan is another perfect example - elements of a Subaru and a Lexus, though the Subaru influence is less obvious in that case. Also I'm not stupid, I know you're only pointing out the valid similarities between aspects of the Landstalker and the Range Rover as justification as to why it may be based on a Range Rover rather than an Expedition, not claiming it isn't a Landstalker (I never said you were denying it was a Landstalker, was just stating the obvious for anyone else who read it). So sorry if my comment got to you the wrong way, it wasn't aimed solely at you. Like I said though, this is another case where the car has elements of two vehicles, the Ford and the RR. The Ford influence is more prominent.
I can't believe a debate has actually began here, especially when J-2 provided undeniable proof that it's a Landstalker (which is based on an Expedition), although it seems people are choosing to ignore it. Reminds of the debate in the past on another website/forum where people thought GTA III's Liberty City and GTA IV's Liberty City were the same place in the same timeline. Okay, maybe not that extreme, but still. -- Last edit: 2012-03-18 17:56:49
Here's a screenshot of it in the Japanese version: It is indeed a Civic, so in reagrds to this version of the car I was kind of correct when I thought it was a CRX Del Sol, however, made for game would apply here. Obviously there is a Civic coupe, but this was clearly never intended to be one. Just a badly edited version of the original Civic hatchback model.
strike9 wrote i've heard people call it a vespa, which is what the games code calls it, but i thought it was to big They have made a good point (even though it went unnoticed for almost 2 years). If the files refer to it as a Vespa, then maybe this is based on a Piaggio Ape.
Phil Leon wrote Okay, thanks for the info. I didn't understand what he meant with "backward". I can remember that I did see something else on IMCDb with some police cars from "Beverly Hills Cop II" (www.imcdb.org/vehicle.php?id=6527). No problem, although considering what a couple of users said in that discussion, maybe the developers did it on purpose, given the game's small town/rural setting. I guess we'll never really know. -- Last edit: 2012-03-11 23:10:29
From what I've managed to find out it appears to be either a Mercedes Benz Tourismo or a Renault FR1. Do the texture files for this vehicle give anything away? (if anyone can get access to them)
BUMP | ||
Phil Leon wrote Does it means that it's placed in a wrong way? Or is it completely wrong for the car? It's because the lights are the wrong way around, red should be on the left and blue on the right. Basically, if you mirror the picture, it would look correct. Not sure why the developers made such a simple mistake, unless it was intentional.
Made for Game, as confirmed by the developers. SWF quoted them in a post on the page for the civilian version of this car. SWF's comment is as follows: "The official word from the developers: "A combination of Crown Vic, Lincoln Zephyr, Ford Fusion and Mercury Milan but plenty of subconscious influences from other cars too." Because they now have licensed cars and manufacturers wouldn't allow them to blow their cars up, they had to make the unlicensed cars bear almost no resemblance to a real car whatsoever so that people are under no illusions. Made for game it is!"
Looks like it's maybe something older. Not sure what though.

BUMP for Venture, it's clearly meant to be a minivan.

I have a feeling this is just a "generican" wagon with wood panelling. I'd suggest leaving it as 'unknown' until closer shots can be found (especially a front end shot).
Volkswagen Golf I | ||
I'm pretty sure this is a Citroen XM - most of the cars in this game appear in numerous other games (most notably Sim City). |
