The Vessel from Watch_Dogs 1/2 returns under a different name. Oddly retains the pushbar from the WD1 police variant while gaining a spoiler.
Obtainable on all releases via a glitch, or via PC modding.
I really wish the Jackrabbit had made it back into SR2 as a driveable car.
I'd say mostly 1987 LTD Crown Victoria with a little later 70s Dodge Monaco thrown in too.
Interesting, this is a traffic model from Burnout Paradise. www.igcd.net/vehicle.php?id=18986
Hakari wrote Taxi with Interceptor pushbar? That doesn't make any sense. It makes perfect sense, cab companies buy lots of retired cop cars. The spotlight hole and police rims on this specific car would support that.
Still has the police kit from Horizon 3 however the lightbar no longer flashes.
1998-2004 Cadillac Seville
Should be 1988 model year, not 1987 production year.
Really god-awfully proportioned model but the flush headlights suggest 1986-1987.
1988-1991 | ||
This thing is totally a Honda Acty. The front end headlights and lines are a match to the 1990-1992 model. The front bumper signals are fudged a bit, but the grille also matches. -- Last edit: 2017-08-29 13:11:51
Speedevil wrote That's a parked car, there's usually a lot of them so they can't use high poly models. I get that, I just find it odd that it's not a low poly model of the proper CVPI in-game. This seems poorly put together and the texturing is awful.
TA-caprice-XI wrote '88 Honda Civic Shuttle? That's what I see too
I wish the OPD and SFPD had a variant of this
I really like this thing, but it just makes me want an Impala sedan!
Doesn't sound as nice in-game as it did in WD1 but it's still a blast to drive.
raiden wrote Yea, overall they did a sloppy job with police vehicles in this game. Not only that, there are only 2 police cars instead of 3 like in the first game. Good thing Oakland PD has it's own livery. Btw do we need it as a separate vehicle? Maybe additional photos on this post or something.
All of the civilian traffic Crown Vics have black plastic bumpers oddly
I'm surprised they didn't make a police variant of this thing
Still hoping this will make its way into Calling All Units as a playable vehicle!

Very odd unmarked low-poly model that shows up in most parts of the map. Wheels are wrong, headlights are wrong, grille is wrong, and the tail lights and reverse lights are wrong. I don't get why they couldn't just use the native police vehicles for the cities these appear in.
I suppose they were going for a Ford Explorer look but just decided to re-use their Ford Edge-esque Talos instead, sunroof and all. Seems pretty lazy to me!
Not sure if it warrants its own listing, but there's a hidden vehicle based off the ambulance called the "Danger Mobile" which is a hazmat van based off the ambulance with green foggy stuff coming out of the back. Apparently it's toxic, a biohazard, and radioactive! youtu.be/oZ2B6mtVZXs -- Last edit: 2016-11-25 16:00:50
Ambulance variant seen in a mission youtu.be/JHrbK136hGw
I really hate the sport wheels on this car! The Police Cruiser in the first Watch Dogs had nice steel wheels, it seems odd to me that they wouldn't use them again since the rest of the car model is pretty much the same.
1960 AMC Rambler wagon maybe? the 1960 Rambler wagons have that backswept rear pillar and the roof bars on the rear. They don't have a backswept front pillar though.
I'm seeing a ton of the 1958 Chrysler Windsor in this. Not the front end as much as the sides and rear (minus the weird taillight design in-game).
Nope. This is clearly an EF Civic, so probably 1988.
Alright, so you can actually drive this thing. You have to really, really, REALLY piss off the cops until they start showing up in these things, then run up and hop in before the cops kill you. If you die after you've started driving the truck, you'll respawn with one.
LeakyLine wrote I just found out why, it's used in one of Cassandra's gun shipment missions Ah okay, thanks!
I found this at the Downtown police precinct but there was no prompt to actually get in. Anyone know the trick to getting this?
God did they ever fuck up the vehicle manufacturers in this. Why the fuck is the Mafia universe equivalent of Buick making a Honda/Datsun?
Great, I've made it this far not wanting this game, and now there's a Crown Vic?
Burn Rubber wrote Pretty sure the unmodded version was only in a red color... And couldn't be driven at the airport... I really don't think it's such a big deal that the cars were spawned in with a trainer. Sure, it looks dumb, but I don't think someone is going to buy GTA and get extremely upset that they can't drive this snowy car at the airport. If I remember correctly, some of the old Social Club vehicle pictures showed the larger snow-covered vehicles at the airport too.
Man, the lightbars on the police cars look awful. They really should've taken a page from GTA V's book for good video game emergency lighting.
International B-Series possibly?
I'm pretty bummed out that this car got changed for release. The NYPD livery is super dumbed down, the NYSP livery is completely cut and the emergency lighting on them isn't even legal in NY State due to the front facing blue.
Unfortunately cut from the final game. -- Last edit: 2016-07-05 08:06:01
Has anyone come across this model in-game? All I've seen a burnt out husk a couple of times.
Keitora wrote Honda CR-X I want whatever you're smoking!
Burn Rubber wrote Maybe, But they are so stupidly close to their IRL counterparts that it makes me hate this game already. You must get really mad driving some of the cars in Grand Theft Auto.
Technically this should a 1985 CRX since it's fuel injected. The American CRX Si model was introduced halfway through 1985.
Fun little car to drive, and it actually sounds relatively like a 1G CRX should unlike the Mugen CRX in Forza. |
