Aston Martin DB2/4: static.howstuffworks.com/gif/aston-martin-sports-cars-20.jpg
From the rear a clear BMW 3 [E30]
No s**t Sherlock. | ||
Agreed. | ||
Mercedes GLK but with three doors rather than five is my best guess.
I believe it is an in-joke about that game. Like the Tommy Vermicelli characters in Driv3r.
2005 in Europe (UK at least) and 2006 for the US.
It's definitely a Pajero. Same goes here for the Collins gang car: www.igcd.net/vehicle.php?id=12769
Yes. I agree with 405. The side is exactly the same as the 405.
There is a bit of 5 E39 in that. T

And that shot confirms Maserati Spyder for me.
Seems to be W210 E-Class from rear and maybe a C-Class from the front.
Turning the traction control off I think.
I don't think every car will be from a movie. That said if they are going to do that I hope they include an old Jag MK.II or S-Type for all the old sixties and seventies film and TV series they were used for Chases in. www.youtube.com/watch?v=iFeJAe4f9g0 (Very wooden ending) www.youtube.com/watch?v=1K-GT-_gziw
Clark CT? | ||
More Dakota like to me. The side is definitely Dodge but the front is more akin to a 97-03 F-150.
Not always: www.youtube.com/watch?v=BrOwcZPwDO8 Maybe he should have stuck with the Sierra?
Is it really worth adding Made for GB for being RHD? All Cee'ds for the UK are made in Slovakia BTW.
Front: Police Package I guess by the wheels.
I'd be tempted to say X5. Pretty common as a police car here: www.flickr.com/photos/56743484@N08/5794296549/
The Nash in the photo name must be related to the fact it is from the Nashville Police.
I had the same thought about the E-Klasse. There were limos of the E-Class too.
Lenco Bearcat? upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/e/eb/Nash_Bearcat.jpg
Definitely Pajero. Two tone paint like that and those dodgy fog lights as well as the small mirror on the wing are far far more common on the Pajero
If it goes wrong for Lotus I can easily see Tony Fernandes (who owns Caterham and Team Lotus F1) being the one who bails them out.
The nose makes me say a Gen.2 9-5 rather than a 9-3.
Probably my favourite car in the game after the Austin Healey.
I've had a look on google and some companies offer them for $65-100. Those stripes and those wheels on a red Camaro SS would be quite frankly superb.
The Camaro looks ace especially as the LS with the black steel wheels.
It will be quite interesting to see what happens next. I think the Expolorer based police interceptor will be the more successful as it will be a much stronger car (which the police need) than the Taurus. If I was buying I'd probably opt for the Charger. Nice idea on the Durango. Make it so Fiat! -- Last edit: 2011-05-20 19:02:45
The new models will fail. I'm pretty certain of that. The only question is whether they will actually get the cars launched. They don't have the funding and in this financial climate it will be difficult for them. They have already gone cap in hand to the UK government who have told them to do one. If you look at it the new cars will be priced in the kind of range where Porsches and Aston Martins are. I love Lotuses but there is no way I'd make the decision to choose one over a Aston at that kind of price. Look at the Evora. It's a lovely car and I would love to have one but sadly the people who can spend £50-60K on a sportscar don't feel that way. The sales figures haven't lived up to expectations as people would rather drive a Cayman or some such. To consider going up a level from that would just not work. If they came to ask me for money I'd look at the business case and tell them, Dragon's Den style 'I'm out'. That said, it is just my opinion and I could be wrong as I'm the kind of harebrained traditionalist who is unhappy they aren't still building the Seven.
Oh yes! -- Last edit: 2011-05-13 16:49:50
Peugeot have stopped using it too if you look at the 508 and the facelifted 308.
Me too. They also had fewer luxuries and were lighter. It's rumoured that when Lotus stop building them Caterham will buy the moulds for the Lotus and will move it closer to the MK1 model. Here's hoping.
1975-80 | ||
Do I need to do it there on Jalopnik or on Twitter?
Bet we wouldn't be this bad: www.youtube.com/watch?v=7S9Ew3TIeVQ www.youtube.com/watch?v=5utc5TOPNbo -- Last edit: 2011-05-04 21:08:20
Canadians are now no longer ashamed of our flag. Canaidian national pride swells following Lantzs decision to no longer disgrace their proud nation
I've never seen a tank like this before But, Porschr dont make tanks they only make sports cars and 4x4s. They do not make tanks. Much like they don't make tractors. They do not make tanks. This must be the craziest tank in any game anywhere.
Never seen this one before.
I'd go for either a VW 'Brickie' or a Toyota Hiace.
Reminds me a bit of the Torrex from the last game. As the CV is licensed for this game it may only be in a cut scene or a beta?
Indeed. Which makes it my kind of car.
Is it wrong for me to say this car is based upon the largely German developed Opel Omega [A]? Admittedly improved a great deal by Lotus.
It comes in the Greaser DLC. I don't know how you get it. I got the codes free with my copy of the game.
BMW do make pickup trucks: www.webcarstory.com/voiture.php?id=870 ... ... Only for April fools day though.
That depends on your getaway car though. An AMG S-Klasse yes but a Zastava Bentley Mulsanne Special Edition would be hopeless.
I saw one in a multistorey car park in Edinburgh a few years back. Similar to the one in the main pic in terms of colour and spec. Here nobody wants to drive cars that are so large and uneconomical which is why Ford have never tried to sell the CV here though a few have been imported many of which have been turned into police car replicas. The same thing is behind successive failed attempts to sell Cadillacs (though they tried the SAAB based BLS which failed more because of a poorer image than BMW, Audi etc), Hummers, American Chevrolets and the Ford Explorer.
The Crown Vic I guess. |
