"So...who's the clown who put a Ford in our game?" -some dude who runs the corvettes company
Hey, a Camaro in Corvette!
Seems like a Men In Black refrence, eh?
I love that name... | ||
It says Pajero Montero on the front...
AutoTracker wrote Well isn't the '96 JGTC scheme seen in the first two Gran Turismos? First 2, yep.
AutoTracker wrote Looks kinda like the 2001 model... but this game is from 1997. igcd.net/vehicle.php?id=202 Well they did first run the scheme in 1996...
Hakari wrote Those screenshots shows a playable version of police car with shorter trunk (looks terrible!) that is avaliable only during one mission in LA. The NPC version is slightly different. Also there is a NY version with closed headlights. I think we should make separate entries for playable version and NPC ones. Not sure...anyone have an opinion on this?
Hakari wrote I've asked about the car in game. No. But it would bump the cool factor. Rinspeed wrote To Razor440 and Burn Rubber, Stop posting big pics in your comments! I'm just new here. It may sound silly to some but I felt threatened when you put an exclamation point at the end of your sentence. Just because you have the arm of justice doesn't mean that you can't think about who's behind the keyboard here, and how they feel about what you just said to them. i.imgur.com/Qv0lsDf.png i'll just post a link... -- Last edit: 2016-04-07 00:35:04
Looks to be inspired by the Castrol Supra that was raced in JGTC>

OLIVER! | ||
If anyone has the demo for this game, please let me know. This is lost media as far as I know and a special demo was only provided on the Dodge website from maybe 2005 to 2010... I found this one screenshot at an archived page... This game sucks, but it'd be pretty awesome to do this demo version again.
Burn Rubber wrote Shit... I looked up the wrong freaking car again. I saw the second generation... Umm, you mean the Magnum or the Monte Carlo? Hakari wrote But how do you know that this car have this type of headlights? The whole front is taken from Regal anyway. I know this because my dad has one. In fact, it's on Wikimedia since he provided a pic for it. The Regal dosen't have retractable headlights though. And remember folks, 1979 Dodge Magnum. Not 2005. By the way, this is the second first generation Dodge Magnum on IGCD. -- Last edit: 2016-04-06 23:36:55
FrankieCheeks75 wrote Goddamn, this car is ugly and overpriced. You'd love the original, it's what i'd call automotive nirvana for you.
New Images. Beta Textures, reveal yourselves!
Here it is in the PSX version, from the mission "Hide The Evidence." It is actually different than the NY car. Before doing this mission, a unknown somebody leaves you a message on your machine back at the hotel. "It's me...You did good, real good! We got real hot car, we gotta get it outta here by afternoon. We need plates changed, respray man, we need a whole *****ing workout! Get yourself down here if you want to work! But this car is hot man, I mean real flame-grill superhot!"
JFK wrote He might post the rear to the car itself and picture is now waiting to be validated. I want to upload a better picture...the picture I sent isn't the best. EDIT: Uploaded better images. Also, can the car be changed to a 1979 Dodge Magnum XE? -- Last edit: 2016-04-06 20:19:42
scruffviggi wrote Reminds me of a Kenworth or Freightliner It's got to be a modern Scania of some sort...
No, this isn't the 2010 model. The 2010 model had a small reverse light in between the rear lights. 2006 Dodge Challenger Concept.
Looks like a TVR...weird.
PikesPeak wrote I'm pretty sure this is Electric Drive model with a black hood on it. Nah, looks to be the SLS AMG Black Edition, sans spoiler.
The advertisement on the roof of the taxi changes for the San Francisco level.
Razor440, to the rescue. Here are the beauty shots of the PC Ford Fairlane. Might have the PSX version coming soon, but we need a separate page for that one.
It's a Porsche 911 (996) GT3 with droopy taillights...
Burn Rubber wrote If not then that's awkward for us IPhone users. My iPhone wallpaper is actually the old school Windows logo...not joking. By the way, they need Steve Jobs in a Nash Metropolitan kart (since that was his first car)... ...and Bill Gates to have a Porsche 959 (since he was notable 959 owner)...kart! -- Last edit: 2016-04-06 03:03:46
Burn Rubber wrote It's odd why they aren't on the left side, But I'm sure there's a reason. Yeah but the Paul Walker car is just cringeworthy... Sorry, I don't see cringeworthy...I just see a tribute. Actually, a Leafy or Pyrocyinical car would be pretty cool. (they cover cringey topics on youtube, by the way)
Took me a while to understand why they called it that... ...however I like the car itself.
Slanted back headlights suggest a Dodge St. Regis.
Burn Rubber wrote I HATE Fast And Furious. The first one was absolutely crap. Rest weren't much better. But point is, Car Enthusiasts need to know what it is. Love it or hate it. That's the reason why I like it...ironically. AutoTracker wrote This is the way you tribute someone who's been dead for 2 years? The best PW tribute is the one at the end of Furious 7... Why didn't they make it the Supra or the Eclipse? That's basically how we knew his character for the first time...
Burn Rubber wrote Well they could have at least been black. Not to mention the Paul Walker car is all kinds of wrong. Well, it is their game so they can do what they'd like...and you know, this is a tribute not a exact replica!
I see a Triforce for a front badge!
For some reason it has 71/72 taillights...
Burn Rubber wrote Death of a beautiful Daytona... I think it's a rebirth...that's probably the best Bosozoku you could do to any 'Murican car ever.
Burn Rubber wrote Actually I've only read the first 12. And I skipped the 7th because I couldn't find a copy. If it wasn't for the manga I couldn't tell the difference. I just know they both are 80's Corolla hatchbacks. The devs of this game are easy to mess up simple details though... You mean the wheels? I think that's just a matter of their art style...
Burn Rubber wrote I guess that's why he's Herbie The Love Bug. (Okay I've made a bad pun today. ) Lovely.
*sigh* It's listed as an '85, yet clearly it says "Toyota Corolla Trueno '83" at the bottom of the screen... Priceless. -- Last edit: 2016-04-06 01:50:10
everybody wrote | ||
Burn Rubber wrote Speedevil clearly didn't read Initial D. Even before I watched Initial D I knew the difference between the Levin and the Trueno. I'm going to have to read the manga one of these days though... it's all in the headlights, maaan -- Last edit: 2016-04-06 01:39:28
Here's the real thing... The windows wrap around the front and along the sides, there's a big spoiler on the back, a big bulge on the roof towards the back, it has the same paint scheme, obviously referencing the car I've provided... -- Last edit: 2016-04-06 01:07:34
Actually, this has to be a Camaro or Charger. The Chevelle never had hidden headlights. -- Last edit: 2016-04-06 01:03:20
Burn Rubber wrote The name sounds like a combination of Lada and the Trabant 601. First thing I thought of was that, followed by the fact it kind of sounds like Chaika...
Paintjob looks like a Lancia Stratos, so does the rear end... Lancia Stratos Turbo Group 5 Rally Car?
Zordid wrote Savage Rivale Roadyacht GTS? Either that or Rimac Concept One.
It has to be a Lincoln Continental or a Ford LTD...some big body Ford or Lincoln.
Looks like a Countach. | ||
I have to disagree...this looks nothing like a 914...
There was a different version of this car in the PSX version...can I provide a page for it?
JFK wrote You can add the frontal pics in comments, I will hopefully change them later. The rear pics you can upload by yourself from now on Thanks, I appreciate it. |
