Audi R8

Sleeping Dogs (2012)
Here's a tip Tuppence, literally almost everyone on this site has different opinions and it's pretty much fighting for a lost cause, it's going to turn into a unnecessary squabble that goes on for literally years (the Ingot from GTAIV for instance) not everyone agrees, regardless if it's obvious or not, plus, not everything gets changed as quickly as you'd expect.

And my input about this car? Yes, I do think it's an R8, but for the sake of staying in the neutral party, I'm not pushing it to have it listed as such.

The P1 didn't even take shape until early this year, this game came out the end of 2012, the 20th at the latest, I highly doubt a FPS game like this, would even go as far as creating a car that hasn't been revealed until the next year.

Or possibly the other sibling as well, the Audi Q7, which is on a lengthened chassis of the Cayenne's and Touraeg's. Canon-wise, to me, it looks like a rugged, updated version of the "4WD Heavy Duty" SUV from Burnout 3.

But, I do see some GT-R elements.

Whoever posted the car on GTAWiki had the "Grotti" in the image's name, GTAWIKIA doesn't say though, not saying it's going to be manufactured by Grotti, but it's hard to say.

The actual Toyota doesn't have the lettering spaced like that, but maybe a slight play on to several other compact pickup trucks from the 80's.
Nissan Stagea

Grand Theft Auto IV (2008)
I just love the fact that people evidently turn a blind eye on this, Liberty City, which is based off of New York City, which is in the United States. The Nissan Stagea wasn't made for the US market. The developers were aiming for realism when they were developing this game, they wouldn't add European-spec, or Japanese Domestic Market-spec vehicles in a setting that is in the US. And yes, I have seen a WC34 Stagea in real life, as I have relatives owning one back in Japan. I know what it looks like, and Yes, I agree this does have STYLING CUES to the Stagea. And again, to emphasize my point. Have you ever seen a Stagea in the US before? The In-game manufacturer parodies Volkswagen, and Yes, I know, this doesn't prove anything, to the certain people who say that on this site. And, from Wikipedia.

"The Nissan Stagea commonly referred to as the Skyline wagon when the 2.6L twin turbo is fitted, (although it is based on the similar C34 Laurel platform) is a station wagon originally produced by Nissan in 1996 as direct competition for the Subaru Legacy Touring wagon in the Japanese Domestic Market."

Even though, the wagon was made primarily for the JDM market, there were imports to countries that allowed RHD cars. But seriously, even though that this is just a game, would you really see a Stagea on the roads in NYC regardless of circumstances? And regardless of how a Passat that looks like, I ask you, what would you expect to see more in NYC?

I can't be more thorough than this. If this isn't even enough, then might as well just list the car as Made For Game.

Nissan Stagea

Grand Theft Auto IV (2008)
I mean seriously, a Passat would appear in New York more realistically than a Stagea would. Trust me, I've been living in NYC for atleast a while now and I've seen quite a few of them. I agree that it DOES have the Stagea taillights and side profile, but really. Despite the in game manufacturer parodying Volkswagen, since evidently according to some people on this site, doesn't prove anything, it's a Passat.

IIRC, in Jet Set Radio Future, this had low ground clearance, wheel skirts over the rear wheels, and an odd "exhaust" pipe sticking out from the hood, and if I'm not mistaken, the blue box van, and city bus looks like it's from the same game as well, and, did anyone make a page for JSRF yet?

Nissan Stagea

Grand Theft Auto IV (2008)
Honestly, besides the in game manufacturer parodying Volkswagen, and to try and end this, it's a Volkswagen Passat, with Stagea styling cues, I mean, Seriously, look at all the other cars in the game, not "every", and when I mean "every" I mean MOST cars in the game are solely based off of one car, like the Chavos, Rebula, Stratum, Sultan, and etc. Because really, R* wanted to aim for realism for this game, and since the Passat's the most likely car to realistically be seen in something like NYC.

You may be right, actually, because I just looked at the Landstalker, and the Virgo (Admiral and the Stretch has red outlined emblems) and both the front, and back of the two cars has a white Dundreary emblem, the blue coloring looks like it was just made for advertisements. But I'm still iffy about it being a Regina, like I said, it could be a whole new second wagon released along with the original TLAD Regina.

So becoming an MPV counts as 'improved'? I can't say I agree, but whatever.

I doubt he was talking about the hatchback, but even if he was, I still think that the logo looks to be a Dinka logo over a Dundreary logo, Perrenial over Regina etc. What's to say that the TLAD Regina returns unchanged? GTA is always full of surprises, so we'll have to wait to be sure.

It may have been an older rendition of the Dundreary emblem, I mean look at Albany's which is the only company, far as I know in IV that has two logos in the game, but who knows, and it still doesn't make sense for a manufacturer that's released Honda based cars to have a large station wagon like a Caprice within it's model line-up. And, I stand corrected of it becoming an MPV as being "improved", it's a van, and it's not that really good, no offense to actual people who like vans out there and is reading this. But anyway, who knows, this could be a whole new station wagon that'd be added along with the Regina, just like how the Regina itself debuted in Vice City.
Plymouth Fury Sport Suburban

Grand Theft Auto V (2013)
It wouldn't make no sense for a company like Dinka (which parodies Honda)has released all Honda based cars in IV, to have a late 60's to 80's large American station wagon in their model lineup, and I doubt they're going to take the Perennial from IV which has drastically improved, and them remake it back into an old station, of course there's a few cars with questionable changes like the Emperor debuting in San Andreas as a mid sized Japanese styled sedan resembling an Infiniti, to a large Cadillac in IV. But I seriously doubt they'd redo the Perennial into something that they had improved, unless they're twisted like that. And, he may have been referring to the red hatchback off to the right.

Dunno if anyone's noticed this, but the latest patch's fixed the windshield wipers which were reversed as RHD to LHD, since this car is obviously LHD in the game. But, it has a bug to where the car's shadow shows only the wheels, driver, you can see it better when the sun's shining down on at an angle and casts the car's shadow on the road and/or wall.

Midnight Club series was made by R* San Diego, the GTA series is made by North, It could be likely, but then I seriously doubt they'd even modify a licensed car from it's original look to a fictional design. Plus, the developers wouldn't be that lazy to reuse models for a brand new game.
