It's a train body on a ChoroQ car chassis. Check the rubber tires--the train wheels are false.

Nope. It was an actual car sold by Takara.

If it looks strange, it's because it's a car with the body of a bullet train (E4 Shinkansen)

Made for Game Sedan

Choro Q HG 4 (2003)
This car can be modified in the laboratory. There are 6 body styles, 3 front ends, and 3 back ends to mix and match.

MotorStorm: Arctic Edge (2009)
Someone needs to do a quick Google on what a '71 Charger looks like, cuz that ain't it. I'm seeing a bit of '68-'70 in the rear window, quarters, and rear bumper, but only a bit.

You could also make an argument for a simliar-vintage Lincoln Continental:

Well it's clearly based on that Charger, as it's owned by tuning firm Mooneyes. Apart from a few others, that's the only old Charger in Japan

I can't agree on that, as the '68 & '69 are very different in 3 key areas on the exterior. Since Genki got all 3 of those right, I'm guessing they had access to a '69 either in pictures or in person.

Not just that, but that car has almost the same license plate and colour as the one in the game.

True, but the '68 looked quite different from the back:

Facepalmingly renamed as a Maxima in the US release, despite the fact that 2 cars are unrelated and the Maxima has been FF since 1985.
Nissan Silvia

Shutokō Battle 01 (2003)
Renamed as a 200SX in the USA version despite the fact that all USA S13's were 240SX's.

Yep, the back end is straight off a 288 GTO. I tried searching for which body kit they based it on, but came up empty.

I'm thinking it's sort of an Easter egg. There are also brand-new (at the time) GMT800 pickups running around too.

I wonder if the license plate containing the numbers 4-2-6 is just a coincidence?

Juiced? A bit less of a sim-oriented title. Did they even offer factory colors?
If this car was to fit in with the majority of PD screens on this site, it should be red, yellow, or graphite. The blue/white scheme is from the very beginning of the GTS's life, while 2002 was the very end.
