My guess is a '95 GMC Safari. Does anyone agree?

I agree it's an older US van than the 03 Express.

I noticed that. Gran Turismo 4 mentions Lexus being American for some reason.

Probably because Lexus wasn't sold in Japan yet when GT4 came out. The cars are all Japanese origin, but like Acura and Infiniti, they started on the American market.

For Gran Turismo standards, the Torneo would fit very well.

Old GT standards that is, quirky JDM cars haven't been added since GT5, which had the Isuzu 4200R and little more on top of what GT4 already had.

One car that needs to appear as well is the Honda Torneo. It is the "happy" twin of the JDM Accord and should appear in racing games.

Why though? The MX-6 shares a platform and mechanicals with the Ford Probe, but is still a very different car.

The Torneo is literally an Accord with a different grille and taillights, and there are so many JDM cars like that (with very minor visual differences).

It was like an Easter Egg mission. You were not supposed to do it because the bad guy wins at the end but it was so hilarious!

It's so long ago, I don't quite remember the details, but yeah there was something with giving pizza to the bad guy that was terrifying.

If not, they are deleted. Same rule as on IMCDb with cartoons.

See, with this rule, Stratum Wars and Ingot Wars might've been prevented.

So you suggest we just leave a lot of cars out of games because we can't agree on what they are based on?

The Infernus is very round, like the Vector. The Diablo is very square.

And about the Infernus: the sides, the shape of the windows and the rear is definitely from a Diablo.
And furthermore, only 14 Vector M12s were built - so it's unlikely that the person who modeled the Infernus, decided to base it on an almost unknown, extremely rare sports car.

Vectors were actually quite popular in 90s Arcade Racing Games, so you'd be wrong to say they are unknown.

Before anyone leaves IGCD because of the car, let me clear things up a bit:

The model was obviously based on the other variant of this sedan (in fact, it is the same car in the game), with a new front and rear fascia. While one version was indeed based on the Eunos 500/Xedos 6 (however created using the blueprint of a 4th gen 626, with a bit of Efini MS8 thrown in for the back to mix things up while sticking to the general early-mid 90s Mazda design language), the modifications seen on this variant were based on another manufacturer's JDM-only competitor of Mazda's "premium" midsize sedans. I don't want to reveal yet which car it is, but don't rely on their ingame brands too heavily, as only a limited number of names were available that wouldn't cover the whole range of brands in the game.

I think you can assume how I got the info above. If anyone's interested, I can clear up some of the other vehicles once the game is out. ;)

Are you hinting towards the Mitsubishi Emeraude by any chance?
