carcrasher88 wrote The front end is DEFINITELY third generation Honda Acty (1999+). en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Honda_Acty#Third_generation I disagree, the position of the headlights is too high for it to be an Acty. The Acty has the headlights next to the grille. I think it is a Daihatsu Hijet ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/%E3%83%95%E3%82%A1%E3%82%A4%E3%83%AB:Daihatsu_Hijet-Cargo_Cruse_S331V.JPG
This is not the only example. You also identified a Honda Life as a Daihatsu Move, which shows you know very little about kei cars, which are actually a crucial part of Japanese automotive industry.
Zordid wrote Could this thing be any more ugly? It could have been bright pink with green polka dots.
Noko Tau wrote Only ever unofficially known as the Beetle. Was never the model name. Model is 1200. This is why I put 'Beetle' in extra info. Would be nice if it registered who made these changes so people don't think I believed this car had 'Beetle' written on the back, or the 2000 Beetles had 'New Beetle' on the back of them. The 2000s models had nothing on the back, but I do believe that they were officially known as the New Beetle. I remember an article stating that Volkswagen specifically changed the name to Beetle when they introduced the 3rd generation.
sajmon14 wrote The funniest thing is that BR and Racedriver claim themselves to be huge fans of Japanese cars but they can't guess the simpliest models +5000
sajmon14 wrote Ssangyong Chairman It was never sold in Japan, I'm pretty sure. I would go for a 2000 Mercedes S-Class.
I agree with AG, probably a customized Del Sol.
GamerFIB7590 wrote Lincoln Town Car? I don't really see any exterior features suggesting this is a Town Car.
DK wrote It's a Mk2 Mustang No it isn't.
sajmon14 wrote this is a construction vehicle, not a smart What, you've never seen a Smart bulldozer or dump truck before?
Is this really not a Dakota? It looks kind of small (in American terms) for a pick-up.
Burn Rubber wrote Bravo. You started a Stratum Wars over a stupid Buick. You're over-exaggerating quite a lot. No one is hurling insults at each other, no one is mindlessly editing the car's name back and forth, and it has only generated a couple of comments over the last few hours. I'm positive the name is Regal GNX, just as it is Regal Grand National, although I'm not excluding the possibility that it actually is called GNX.
Noko Tau wrote I really need to get a new xBox, huh? Do they have any cool old French cars in Forza now? They have a couple of Peugeots and Renaults, but I don't think it's worth your time or money. (Alpine A110, Clio Williams, R5 Turbo, 205 Turbo and the 905 if you are into that) The older Forza games have even less old French cars, although 4 has a couple more modern ones. -- Last edit: 2016-04-29 15:52:50
Noko Tau wrote And kudos for the correct usage of 'begs the question'. Most people use 'begs the question' when they mean something like 'prompts the question'. Doesn't it wind you up when people do that? As English is not my first language, I'm happy I got that right. I might have been guilty of using it the wrong way before, but now I know how to use it, so thank you.
Mark0 wrote We also have it in Forza. How is called there? And i aw with Desscythe we should rename all of them to Regal GNX. And how all these game developers are vehicle lovers and they don't know real vehicle name... According to myforzagarage.com (I don't own Forza, so that's the best I can do), it is listed as Regal GNX.
This made for a good laugh though.
It begs the question though why all of these cars are called Buick GNX on IGCD. Isn't the official name Buick Regal GNX? I thought people just dropped Regal because everyone knows what a GNX is anyway.
I don't think it looks like anything really. It's a combination of lots of parts of lots of different cars, and therefore can't really be identified. But I don't want to start another discussion, so if people are happy with Accord, that's fine.
speedfreak975 wrote Considering DS is officially an independent manufacter now, do we change all DS cars. Because all have been changed in many games Depends, all of the current models (3, 4 and 5) have made the change from Citroën to DS since they were facelifted, so all the facelifted models should be called DS 3/4/5, and the pre-facelift models Citroën DS 3/4/5. Chinese models should not have Citroën in their name. Why they changed the Survolt to DS in this game is a mystery, since the car is actually a Citroën concept car. -- Last edit: 2016-04-28 12:11:19
Oh Gran Turismo, why must you do this. First they differentiate between premium cars and standard cars, and then they just add standard cars from one game to another without even looking whether the details are correct. Is Gran Turismo 6 just like 5 where they just had the Japanese Mazda Roadster, American MX-5 Miata and the European MX-5 all in the same game? (And ALL of the different versions? (And ALL of the cars with regional differences in names? )) -- Last edit: 2016-04-26 23:15:59
Burn Rubber wrote Do you realize the camera locks to this angle and is about impossible to change when taking a pic from this area? That's why it looks like this. It would take about 5 minutes of fine tuning to change it to that way! I agree with the edit from my comment you didn't see. I guess that's a complaint with the game's photo mode then.
Burn Rubber wrote Game didn't call it one so I didn't do it. I also forgot FC in the chassis. Do you know if the steering wheel is on the left or right side? It might be a mistake in regional versions, as it was called RX-7 outside of Japan. They might have switched the steering wheel to the other side but forgot to alter the text on the rear.
Burn Rubber wrote The hell? No it's not... May I ask what is wrong with it? It's more of a side shot than a rear shot, I think it would be better if you could see both taillights.
*Airtrek, also rear pic is terrible.
Should be called Savanna RX-7 as it says so on the rear.
Noko Tau wrote Alternative for the front shot. To be honest I'm not feeling this car which is odd since I've been an avid fan when I was a kid. orig15.deviantart.net/106b/f/2016/117/e/d/e_type_coupe_1961_001_by_truemouse-da0g2e0.png I think the convertible looks so much better, it's a shame they chose the coupé instead.

sajmon14 wrote I just listed it because it was like that on WCS webcarstory.com/voiture.php?id=18443 dunno if it really should be listed like that Yes I usually use platform names for American cars on WCS, you could do it differently on IGCD.

Razor440 wrote Oh stop it. There is a difference between a '41 Packard and a '41 Ford. But hardly any between a 41 Ford and a 41 Mercury or a 41 Chevy and a 41 Pontiac I'll agree that Packard at least made more interesting cars at that time (unlike later, when they were headed towards bankruptcy). -- Last edit: 2016-04-24 07:15:44
The really square roofline looks more like an 80s Eldorado or a Mercury Cougar to me. -- Last edit: 2016-04-24 00:28:40

No it looks too old for an FJ Cruiser, I think a Land Cruiser FJ40 is a good suggestion.
Range Rover? Looks more like a Jeep Wrangler or something similar.
The in-game name would imply an Australian Falcon I think.
Razor440 wrote Hmm...maybe we should ask Polyphony to put it in Gran Turismo 7...Kaz said himself in a interview that he'd love to have the fans suggest car manufacturers to put in their cars in Gran Turismo Doubt it though...isn't Hino now just a truck manufacturer? And actually getting one for reference for is hard, since they seem to be a rare car. I'm sure there are still a couple around Japan, and I'm sure Kaz is able to get his hands on one. Hino is indeed a truck manufacturer ever since 1967, when they joined the Toyota Group.
Razor440 wrote It kind of looks like an alternate universe version of a Chevrolet Corvair, to be honest. It actually has its basis in the Renault Dauphine. Before the Contessa, Hino built the Renault 4CV under license. -- Last edit: 2016-04-21 23:08:58
I swear, it's ridiculous how few games feature this car. It's one of the pioneers of Japanese automotive industry! I at least expected Gran Turismo to give it some love, but nope. -- Last edit: 2016-04-21 22:59:54 |
