![]() DAF LF Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (2019) | The LF family is by most part developed by Leyland Trucks and built only in the UK, with DAF's branding, cabs and some limited help in development. So, should the origin for all DAF LF entries be UK?
![]() Engler V12 Bolshie Gonki (2012) | This vehicle is positioned by Engler as "super-quad" and it has quad steering and driver position with a hypercar-like aerodynamic carbon fiber body and 1100 HP V10 engine. ![]() Wadi Basher 4x4 (2003) | Wadi Basher 4x4 is a game commissioned by Imaginations, a UAE-based publisher related to Cellucom mobile company. It was developed by various independent developers, including Mere Mortals Ltd. from the UK, a group of Polish developers and the Italian music studio providing soundtrack. It was supposedly released in the Gulf region and later licensed to Play Publishing for the Visegrad countries. The game itself has 4 licensed vehicles (Arabs certainly had money for those fees), and 10 tracks. The gameplay is far from revolutionary and engine from GarageGames is quite obsolete, but the gameplay is modestly fun. The weirdest part of the game is, I kid you not, suicide bomber terrorist goats as enemies. For a game sold in the Gulf. But according to Khaleej Times article it was definitely sold in there, perhaps enjoying some level of controversy...

![]() Speedy Zone (1998) | Speedy Zone was made by an American-registred Taiwanese Digital Point and had 8 poorly-drawn cars resembling various NASCAR and touring cars. It was released in Europe by the Dutch company Cyberium Multi Media B.V. Around 1998-1999, another version of less certain origin was released. Now it was called Grand Prix Rally. This release had some minor graphical improvements, and all cars were replaced with WTCC cars, most likely redrawn from TOCA Touring Car Championship textures. The game has very poor AI and disbalanced, dysfunctional difficulty progression.

![]() Camdriver (2001) | Some forgotten Japanese one-man project. Efforts finding much information about this game were proven futile and non-Unicode Japanese filenames do not function correctly in most foreign computers. making 2 tracks out of 4 inaccessible. ![]() Sherlog SecurityCar (2005) | The game is a product placement arcade made for Czech anti-theft system manufacturer Sherlog, but was released only in Lithuania, with Lithuanian, Latvian and Russian language options. The game is horrendous, steering is awful, the sole quirk of the game (anti-theft geolocation radar) is malfunctioning, the game has only one vehicle, only one mode and is not fun to play at all. -- Last edit: 2024-08-24 15:45:04
