You can say it without being rude. I study automotive design, those are the rules of it.
There are rules in automotive design that must be respected, such as proportions. For make an example, most of executive sedans have a wheelbase that is long 3 wheels put one after the other. The front wheel arch is always higher than the rear. The headlight must be in line, at least most of the time, with the front grille. No random lines, everything must be in its place. There are actually 4-door coupe, like Mercedes CLA, though this is a market strategy in order to give to the car the sportive image that it needs.
This comes from Driver Parallel Lines
I thought it was a Honda Accord, '96 US variant, though this car is too much boxy and the shape reminds me of the Crown Vic. EDIT: A similar model can be seen in an underground parking place, always in RE3, though If I'm remembering well, it was green. -- Last edit: 2016-05-24 10:20:01
Wait, I can post a picture of the rear, even if the game gives you a... poor view of it.
For some details it really looks like Nissan Sunny.. Though when I saw it, I recognized a bit of Toyota Tercel/Corsa, 1994-1995 model year.
Ok. Except for the rear, the headlights have almost the same shape, with two projector headlights. The Acura have LEDs like the Leo, though these are details. The grille in the Leo is higher and larger than the RL, yet similar for placement and shape. Except for other two air intakes in the front bumper, the rest is almost the same. In the side, there are two main "belt-lines" (we call it so in automotive design): one for the door-handles, and this is used in Leo and RL, the other one quite lower, placed a just above the bottom of the doors. The rear is sloping in both sedans. The roof-line is not that common: in the Leo is quite Audi-esque, while the RL is a bit more boxy. This is a detail that you can notice even in the side windows shape. EDIT: Plus, they have the same exhausts. -- Last edit: 2016-05-23 21:29:25
Hmmm, I still think it's an Acura RL. Weeeell, looks like this time Ubisoft has given to us a true challenge.
Check the size. A Jetta is not a Lexus ES. The Leo is a japanese sedan, if we must control what the game says. And so, Jetta is out. Plus, Japanese sedans that are meant to be sold in US/EU markets tend to have an aestethic that is studied just for that kind of market, of country. This explains why sometimes certain Infiniti models resemble BMW/Mercedes sedans, without losting the Japanese feeling that they still bring. I'm still quite sure this is an Acura RL. Keep in mind that European cars, especially German one, are quite... boxy and geometric about shape and lines, while Japanese cars tend to be more soft and rounded. The side if this sedan has few lines, is rounded. Extremely different from a common European full-size sedan
There's nothing of a Jetta
A modified Cord 810? | ||
Dodge Challenger 1970 | ||
Definitely a Honda Si Coupe, 2008.
Perhaps a Renault Mégane, first generation, pre-facelift, coupe?
I suggest Opel Astra G cabrio. Quite similar, in my opinion. EDIT: the side matches quite well. Tail-lights are almost the same, whilte the headlights have a strange shape, but still similar to those of the Astra G. The only thing that doesn't match very well is the grille. -- Last edit: 2016-02-14 12:58:29
Perhaps a 2000 Honda Accord, US Market?
This is a Honda Legend, first generation (1985-1990). It's the same car.
Looks based on BMW M3 from 2004.
To me, this looks like a SUV, rather than an estate, but who knows, perhaps I'm wrong
Kia Ray. It's almost the same car.
Made for Game? Looks very generic...
Automotive Gaming wrote Ingot VD90R = Autech Stagea img3.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20100212155803/gtawiki/images/7/7e/Ingot-GTA4-VD90R-front.jpg www.j-spec.com.au/f15619/1997-Nissan-Stagea-Autech_260RS_01.jpg Yes, that's what I meant in my previous comment
I go with Acura TSX, since it matches very well with Acura's aestethic language. Clear lines in the side, aggressive and stretched headlights, rear high and clean.
Vulcar is, in GTA V, a brand that creates cars mixing Volvo and Nissan together. Check the Warrener, looks like a Skyline but with some references to the famous swedish brand. The Ingot is, in my opinion, a Volvo 850. There was, in GTA IV, a very big reference to the Nissan Stagea: the Russian Mob Variant, in fact, known in-game as VD90R, was an Ingot with some cosmetic changes such as front bumper and spoiler. The VD90R variant looked like a Nissan Stagea, but no further evidence (except for tail-lights and the tail) makes me think that the Ingot is based on a Stagea, so I say Volvo 960 Estate: IMHO, this is the car that is mostly near to the Ingot for appearance.
Definitely a Honda Integra 95-98 DC2 Type-R
Made for game? That's just a generic sedan..
Rinspeed wrote Nothing of a Seicento! The game is from Korea, no one know Seicento in Korea. And if you see the others cars of the game, the cars really match with real cars, not a little part like the Seicento. And actually people agreed saying that it looks like a Seicento. It's not a matter of us if the developers were not thinking of a Seicento. I draw tons of 3d cars, lot of people says to me "this looks like a Taurus from '96", "this looks like the Renault Clio for the rear" even if I never had in mind these mentioned cars. So what, do we have to ask to developers what they thought when they designed the cars? Plus, I can draw a Toyota Crown even if I've never seen a Crown in Italy. In my opinion, the Seicento matches with this one. The body is the same. Boxy, 3-door hatchback. The windows are fine. The front is just modernized, but it's mostly the same. Consider that developers and game designers are always prone to change the aestethic of a car in order to avoid troubles with real automakers.
I would not consider unlockable. It's a mistake, in my opinion, since it would mean considering unlockable also the cars from some levels of Driver 2 or Driver 3. If you adopt the logic "you go further with the game, you DISCOVER new cars", then lot of cars on this website must be considered unlockable, either way, you don't need to do an event for unlock it, or a quest, or a mission. It's in the game, you go on with the game, you find it.
They kept the same model from Gran Turismo 3 for this awesome car... what a shame.
Due to tail-lights, it reminds me Ford Mondeo, though the body is the one of a coupe, so maybe... Made for game?
The Z3 hatchback, I meant, or Z3 coupe. it actually existed, I made a mistake, sorry.
Yes, the tail-lights of the Seicento are quite different... the whole Seicento comes actually from the Cinquecento from late 80s. But I suggested Seicento as model since the size, the cathegory, the shape of the car, windows... they match. The front is very similar also
The shape of the side window, the whole shape of the car and the front matches quite well Yep, the car that you have as profile picture is a Seicento. I live in Italy, I always see them around
The majority of the car can be considered coming from the Sequoia, so I agree with Toyota Sequoia
I know that what I'm going to say sounds weird but... In my opinion, this is a Fiat Seicento. Only tail-lights are different. The shape of the car is almost the same, as well as the headlights and the front fascia. It just looks like a modern Fiat 600, but it still retains the whole style of the real-life car
BMW Z3 Compact | ||
Something between a Prius and an Insight, in my opinion. Those rounded headlights.. they're very strange and ugly in a car like that. -- Last edit: 2015-09-02 15:48:25
Due to the soft shapes, this looks to me like early 90s. I go for Mitsubishi Colt, since Honda Civic had different side windows.
I agree, this looks like a Vectra GTS pre-facelift
If you check the headlights, they give the shape to the hood, just like Fury does in reality. So, this is a Plymouth Fury. Two door, same sides, same front-end.
Toyota Crown S170? | ||
Nissan Cube, second generation.
Looks like a car in Mafia II, that is listed as Ford Thunderbird. I say Ford Thunderbird, 1955 model.
Yes, this is definitely a FC RX-7.
It's a shame this car isn't in GT5 and GT6...
Yes, this is a Pontiac Torrent, I agree with Mieguy
www.igcd.net/vehicle.php?id=307 Same as this one
I'm sure it's a Chevy Nova. The front fascia is almost the same, even if... the graphic doesn't help
Crown Vic, yes. I wonder why is still unknown...
This is an Acura RL, 2005-2006 model year, in my opinion |
