This is a 1970 or 71 ford torino coupe (not the fastback) based on the fender lines and roof line.
Mad Mike wrote Another example of EAs car guys not doing their research. R/T Chargers only came with either the 440-magnum or the 426-hemi, except for '71 when you could also go for the 440-6 pack. The power and torque figures quoted are those of a stock hemi, but a top speed of 115 is completely wrong, even if the car was optioned with a 4:11 rear end it would peak out closer to 125. So the blower that this comes with is as fake as the one in the movie? Wasn't Torettos charger suppose to churn out 900 horses? Funny thing is the car in the game actually has a top speed of like 220 mph (if you tune it for top speed), also dom's car was supposed to have a 528 hemi, and if you ever use the car in the game is sounds like a turbo v-6 which is disgusting
cdn.www.needforspeed.com/sites/default/files/imagecache/car_main/car/images/1970_dodge_charger_rt_8.jpg?1362415655 Another pic, Also apparently it has a 318 with 425 hp XD
Antti-san wrote I just noticed, this is another car where the speedometer doesn't work - I was doing 120 mph but the needle only showed 80 mph... "officer i swear I never went above 80!!"
Gamer wrote Yeah, doesnt have a black roof, but still, has the tail stripe and the same horn XD
HANG ON A SECOND!!! i can't beleived i relized this now, but is this Snake's car from the simpsons?, i remember him driving a red/black 69 charger and it had the Dukes of hazzard horn! XD
with the rear side marker lights and lack of vents on the 1/4 panel doesn't that make this a 68?
maybe im thinking of something else but didnt these have 1 headlight? and the other was a intake duct? :s
Dodge Demon? en.dodge-club.net/graphics/gallery/full/438_dodge-demon_1971_01.jpg carphotos.cardomain.com/ride_images/3/2915/281/32285140003_large.jpg ^ 1974 demon -- Last edit: 2012-01-29 00:46:35

schaefft wrote Lol, dont tell me EA added it because of the great response it got when it was added to Forza... lol probably, either way, its nice to see it ^^
........... didnt expect that O.O, its a 70 ls6 454 by the way... anyone else think the 1/4 panels and doors are a little off? :s -- Last edit: 2011-10-09 23:42:41
If you look carefully you'll see it has a rollcage :s
pretty close to a 68 (@ fairlane joe) atleast this is a hardtop
this may please fairlanejoe XD even if it is a slightly different body style
ShantJ wrote Isn't 1973 when they built the "KenMerri" GT-R? Idk, 1973 is what the nfsw website says, also they mentioned only 197? were made in 1973, maybe they were leftovers from 72 or something, idk ANYTHING about japanese automotive history so i couldn't say, but using the 1969 shelby gt500 as a example, a few were leftover from 69, and carried over to 1970, they became 1970 gt500's, exactly the same as the 1969 models,
Antti-san wrote Maybe not, but it's still a lovely car isn't it? i just love any car i can actually work on, to hell with the cramped, complicated chassis' and engine bays of modern cars :
Antti-san wrote 160 HP, actually. even still, i don't care how lightweight this car may be, thats not enough to outrun lambos XD
Apparently this car car only had about 100hp.. now i see why its one of the fastest cars in game XD
you know it may be available as a hardtop, i know the 59 caddy has both a topless and steel roofed version ingame
63FairlaneJoe wrote alright,AWESOME,now...a 68 Camaro SS is MAJORLY needed ok, so is a 1970 442 in that case
Antti-san wrote Well, "riced out" Dodge Neons aren't considered sports cars either, are they? Maybe I misunderstood what he said as bashing, what with him using the word "jap" and all... Yeah all riced out cars are annoying, but yeah of ricecars the most annoying are civics and integras, its rare to see a stock one
Antti-san wrote Sorry, but I find comments like that really lame. What does it matter where a car is from, as long as it's good... i think its just that 90% of the japanese sports cars in north america are beat up, poorly maintained honda civic hatchbacks with a aftermarket muffler and a set of black painted wheels
No love for the challenger? Ok then, Ahem: YAY THE CHALLENGER RETURNS!!!!
63FairlaneJoe wrote yeah,mines a ss 396 mines just a 350 4bbl low option car
could be a 69 chevy 300, a very basic version of the chevelle and in 1969, if im not mistaking it retained vent windows 4.bp.blogspot.com/_MiZ-UqDwf6c/TQrbwUgidNI/AAAAAAAAHd0/nDyzcney-QQ/s1600/1969%2BChevrolet%2BChevy%2BChevelle%2B300%2BDeluxe%2B2%2BDoor%2BCoupe%2BSecond%2BGeneration%2B4.jpg Sorry, its called chevelle 300 deluxe* -- Last edit: 2011-08-03 04:56:54
63FairlaneJoe wrote I wish it was a coupe, and there's a coupe in my garage oh wow nice, i got a 1970 cutlass s so im kinda happy they have a cutlass s 442
transamturbo1980 wrote THANK YOU GOD! Hmmm theres something about your name that tells me this'll be your car of choice
oh wow i didnt expect it to be a convertible, theres a local 68 camaro cv mild yellow with black stripes RS model
2 lane blacktop? | ||
AWESOME XD | ||
crown vic guy br wrote Just the hood are different. In the movie, Kowalski drive a 440 Six Pack, like Tanner actually the movie used 440/ 4 bbl, acording to the script it was supercharged and "hopped up over 160mph"however both statements were untrue
i think this is technically a sedan not coupe? :s
theyre still adding cars
the frontend is the BEST way to tell the years apart 70- moderate grille size 71 larger grilles with chrome headlight bezals 72, large grilles and black headlight bezels
just a bit of trivia, the "73" from gone in 60 seconds, was a less expensive & more powerful 71 model with the fog lights rotated 90 degrees XD
so we got 2 (or more) licensed trans ams of the same generation in 1 game? COOL!
LOL at the game name XD | ||
arent 1964-73 mustangs gen 1? gen 2 or "mrk ii" was 74-78 :s no?
Skid wrote Nice that they avoided the temptation of making a GTO and made it a more common LeMans instead. i wouldnt say the lemans is common, most were "cloned" into gtos, or crushed because they arent considered classics
instead of the driver it maybe be inspired by the 74 and 75 firebirds used in the rockford files imcdb.org/vehicle_3345-Pontiac-Firebird-1975.html
transamturbo1980 wrote This is actually a 1975 Trans am i was thinking the same thing at first but the 75 has bumperettes and a black strip across the bumper which i didnt see in the video, but yeah those fog lights are very 75 but i chose 76 because 1 was used in the movie "the driver"
the frontend looks more cutlass=like, and those headlight bezels are an exact match for a 72, the grilles look 71ish :s
of all the camaros they could have chosen, why the new gens?, i would have thought a 67-73 would have been more appropriate for offroading
i'd have to a agree the dual, insted of quad headlights, the split in the grille and the more boxy shape make me think cuda :s image.hotrod.com/f/Chris%20Davis/9682417+w450+h338+cr0+re1+ar1/1970-plymouth-cuda-1970-hemi-cuda-pro-touring.jpg 70 cuda fc02.deviantart.net/fs70/f/2010/278/c/a/dogde_challenger_rt_by_010redstar010-d306baq.jpg 71 challenger :s -- Last edit: 2011-06-20 00:41:01 |
