1. I can plus one a comment for IDing a vehicle no matter how old it is.
2. It looks much more like a Nissan that an Esprit.

They based it off the Nova from Carlito's Way:

Chopped top, flames, even the rear matches (even though there's no rear shot for the Stuntman Nova)

Yep, that's a Carry. Front end is different (for obvious copyright reasons), second row door handle is in a different place, and the additional lights on the rear bumper, but everything else screams Suzuki Carry.
