It has Civic wheel covers and the game files call those hatchbacks vp_crx so might be something Honda-related

Just blame Rockstar, for designing a car that is newer than the game release date. :p

It doesn't have any of the Clio V6's features. Probably some JDM ricebox instead.

No way this or it's variants are Renault Clio V6s. This is probably some insert-JDM-car-here made by RockStar. It may have some kind of distinctive features... Reaserch time.

those 3 sedans are listed as vp_mercedes, but it doesnt really look like it, and the headlight texture is taken from a Civic

I think I see why they listed it as vp_mercedes- it looks kinda like a 2001-2006 C-Class W203.

It may look like a RL but it is newer that this game. So it cannot be listed as one. So far I'm lost with this one. :/

This one, before being listed as an RL, was listed as an RSX, which is even worse.

Tail lights remind me of the E46, but I can't find a more matching car than the KB1 RL itself. The fact it is called Mercedes inside the data doesn't help either. I can only think of a CLS because of the roundish roof but:
1) The CLS is also newer than the game
2) Apart the roof the rest of the car is different and the RL matches more

I've just added "Ascent" brand name to it though, which was missing.

Didn't know about that, somehow I thought MC1 was made by R* just like MC2.
So I guess MC1 is slightly different than MC2? Talking about mechanics, gameplay, etc.
I ask since I've never tried the first one.

it was made by same guys, they were later bought by R* so they just changed the company name. I had no chance to try it too
