The car uses the 340 small block, from the horsepower quoted in the game, and 340s weren't available in R/Ts in 1970 (though their Plymouth 'Cuda sister cars could be had with a 340). 340s came as an optional engine in the standard Challenger, and a triple-carbed version was used in the Challenger T/A. Curiously, this car looks quite a bit like an R/T as modeled in the game, and for some reason it has Challenger T/A side exhaust. Despite the engine and exhaust, though, it doesn't produce the T/As horsepower level, nor does it have any of the T/A graphics or cosmetic features. |

2011-08-09 14:55 | This was called the Concept Car in GT1 and GT2; the reason being that, while the car was originally called Copperhead, Dodge encountered some licensing issues (there was a company that already had a product named Copperhead), so after that it was referred to as the Dodge Concept Car or Concept vehicle, not just in the game but by Dodge themselves and on all future products featuring the Copperhead. |
