There are many old sports cars like this that don't have huge amounts of horsepower, yet are very competitive thanks to their low weight. Oh well, I guess I am nitpicking - I just expected it to be rated a tad higher. -- Last edit: 2010-10-29 20:23:01

2010-10-29 14:47 | Sorry I have to write back in english because my french is even worse than my english ;-) It's not correct what you said about the Shaker hood. The Shaker was only an option for 'Cudas (fender tag code: N96). Only the Hemi 'Cudas left the factory with Shaker hoods everytime. For them it was standart. Challenger customers had to order the Shaker also for the Hemi, no Challenger had the Shaker automatically. The 'Cuda (Barrett-Jackson) you're talking about is a 1971 Plymouth Hemi 'Cuda Convertible (1 of 11). 440 Six-Pack Convertibles are also very expensive but not that much. Recordholder is an Alpine white '71 export (France) Hemi 'Cuda Convertible (1 of 2 export cars): It was sold for 4.1 mio $

2010-10-29 13:20 | @ Takumi? Sept moteurs?

2010-10-29 09:51 | This is a Plymouth 'Cuda! There were Challengers and there were Challenger R/Ts. It's the same with the Barracudas. The fast ones were just called 'Cuda (340, 383, 440, 440-6, 426 c.i.). It has nothing to do with the year they have come out, it was just performance marketing ("the 'Cudas are too fast, you don't have enough time to speak out the entire name"). The first Barracuda that was sold as a 'Cuda was the '69 'Cuda 440 (rare!). But there were also e.g. '71 Plymouth Gran Barracudas. And this Hemi 'Cuda is definitely a 'Cuda!

Edit: "The high-performance models were marketed as 'Cuda deriving from the 1969 option." So its correct to call this a Cuda as it uses the HEMI which was the high performance version. So this was right called a Cuda? Argh, now i´ll have to undo everything.
