Seems to take inspiration from the LM Road car and the 400R, but doesn't replicate either.

Seems to be based on the Le Mans variant of the R33, but on an R34 instead.

Well it's clearly based on that Charger, as it's owned by tuning firm Mooneyes. Apart from a few others, that's the only old Charger in Japan

I can't agree on that, as the '68 & '69 are very different in 3 key areas on the exterior. Since Genki got all 3 of those right, I'm guessing they had access to a '69 either in pictures or in person.

Not just that, but that car has almost the same license plate and colour as the one in the game.

True, but the '68 looked quite different from the back:

This car, along with the R30M, can be modified to have sirens, and what is presumed to be a machinegun on the roof, I've never gotten the gun to fire, but I can confirm the siren, you have to have a lvl 5 spoiler equipped for it to work. Just a strange easter egg in the game. The r30 and R30M are unlocked by beating wanderers Healthy Hero and Gold License, I don't remember which one drives which. On further inspection this spoiler seems to serve as an in game reference to seibu keisatsu, a Japanese tv show.

Unlocked by beating either Bloody Mary, or any member of team Thunderdragon. To get Bloody Mary to Appear, you have to beat Lost Freak, to get lost freak to race you, the day must be a multiple of seven, and you have to drive a Toyota MRS. Lost Freak's MRS is maxed out, so he can be hard to beat.

Note: On closer inspection, it appears to be badged as a chrysler and not a dodge. The rear badging is hard to make out but it appears to atleast say CHRY, what it says after that is hard to make out but it is a clear nod to chrysler.

I remember the first time I saw this in the game, when I was like 8 years old, I was like WTF is this? It's the only "pickup" in the game, the only custom class c car, and probably the best class c car as well. This was before I knew how to play the game very well, so I ended up with a bunch of random cars, mostly cheap class c cars, like the civic, and couldn't get very far because I ran out of money. Anyway this car is unlocked by beating "Street Gambler" who only appears on days when all the numbers are the same Ie; Day 1, Day 55, Day 777.

Despite its power of 321 ps, it cannot be tuned with a turbo, which is odd because many tuners back then and since have often added a turbo kit to an M3 E36 to allow it to push 1000 bhp. Fully modified, as one can expect, is extremely sluggish but has decent handling for a rear wheel drive car. Still though, kudos for ordering the paint colours to look like a German flag.

This is an absolute bugger to drive properly. Because it's RWD, it slides out whenever it gets the opportunity to. This, naturally, would lead a player to reduce the steering speed, which works until it starts uncontrollably swerving from side to side.
