In an ideal world all kinds of vehicles would be feasible in a game like NFS. The Infiniti G35 (which is also in FM7 for your info), and the Escalade (which also has a baller V performance model) would be cool additions.

But at the end of the day, it's all determined by the one dreadful word that simply won't get answers.

Licensing.

That is why we don't always get what we want. Many manufacturers have always got by with a code known as a non-disclosure agreement, or NDA. Many developers have to know the rules about licensing a car in a major game like Unbound or FH5/FM reboot. They also have to acknowledge that each car is licensed individually and that licenses always run out. There is no "magic wand that makes cars appear" or any form of fairydust or whatever euphemism you want to use. So many devs have to use checkbooks to brands to get whatever deals that benefit both the manufacturer and the game developer.

Those games were created many years ago, and now the Need For Speed franchise has evolved into a more serious street racing genre. They aren’t going to allow a playable Yukon or any NPC car since they won’t fit the game.

I didn't notice his contradiction at the end of the comment, even if NFS is not the same as before, it still keeps adding SUVs like G63 and pickups, it wouldn't be a problem to bring an Escalade or Yukon as a playable vehicle, much less a G35 that was already playable.

EA developers making all traffic vehicles playable would ruin the game since it would cause the already existing NPC vehicles to become pointless. Many of them would not fit the racing genre, which is what NFS is clearly made for. And what about multiplayer mode? That would only cause confusion among players trying to identify what vehicle isn’t being used or is being used by a certain player. The Infiniti G35 can work since it has been playable in the previous titles, but SUVs and utility vehicles are hardly used by anyone in Unbound, and aren’t fit for street racing material.

So I don’t understand why people want them to be playable when it serves no purpose. Not sure how it would make sense racing a GMC Topkick, Yukon or Explorer. There are a variety of vehicles that are perfectly usable. What I actually want to see are some electric sports cars, and more car brands returning to the franchise. Now these are ideas that can work in Need For Speed.

The only thing you would know. Is a Need for Speed: Heat spin-off that focuses on anime graphics from the anime adaptation of Corpse Party, instead of Need for Speed: Unbound (which looked like cel-shaded Fortnite character models). The game adaptation (of my own novel) have more vehicles than Need for Speed: Heat. Ranging from vehicles in the late 1970's to vehicles in the mid-2020's, as it was set in the near-future. After the events of Need for Speed: Mobile - Online Edition.

However, there are cars that was fitting in the 2024 setting. As Paradyne Industries (fictional company from Need for Speed: No Limits) launched all of the branches worldwide (partly around Asia, America, Latin-America, Middle East, Europe, and more), and invented all futuristic stuff. Yeah, the maps are Japan, Heat Bay (formerly as Palm City), Netherlands, Ukraine, and France.

There are four playable characters, all of which are Japanese high-schoolers (who are now working as mercenaries and street racers after landed in Heat Bay) from an elite high-school academy (in Kyoto, Japan) you can play with. Two of the playable characters were for DLC only.

Anyways, you're right about that "topic" you focused with SUVs wanting to make another appearance in the Need for Speed franchise. But that doesn't mean it's not fitting for the illegal street racing setting? God knows.

But, my ideas was just right for a Need for Speed anime novel.

You don't even know if that's true at all. You're only saying that so you think you sound smarter when in reality, EA only put those cars out because of licensing agreements.

This discussion is completely pointless since it has nothing to do with the game, nor any of it is a one-way suggestion box for EA or Ghost Games.

I hate having to stop discussions like these, because they encourage nothing except pointless banter. Cut it out. Please.

Oh, good luck with that preposterous "discussion". This discussion is over.

Licensing dictates what's allowed to be represented in video games. That has not changed and will never change. If the devs don't want to take risks to make SUVs playable, then they will not do so. It is simple as that. Also you clearly ignored my comment referring you to Forza as that franchise has plenty of utility vehicles.

Why are we relitigating about vehicle choices when the majority of the suggestions and feedback regarding vehicles don't resonate well with EA?

Also all devs have to abide by NDAs so asking them for specific cars will hurt in the long run. Think about it. If something new has been added then so be it. Maybe they'll add new cars that are right up your street like regular SUVs and low-end pickup trucks - which Forza has, many times. FH5 has an '86 F-150 and a C-10. What's your point?

You're lyin'. There's a handful of larger vehicles in this game, so someone hasn't done their research, hint hint.

Furthermore, please refer to Forza Horizon 5 which has plenty of larger SUVs and trucks, including a F-450 Super Duty truck.

This new generation of Leaf just ain't appealing. No offense it looks like a glorified EV Micra, just sold to the masses.

In other words, it's not particularly attractive. And there's no civi model either, so why did EA not pay the rights to use two Leafs?
