![]() ![]() 2023-11-24 01:06 | AudiRS4 wrote Please no, the Taycan has ruined lower class online racing already. EA should either nerf it or put into S+ class stock, which they most likely won't. You should be aware that The Crew and Forza are far ahead of Need For Speed when it comes on to EVs, so EA might definitely consider adding more electric cars to catch up with their competitors, either in Unbound or the coming NFS titles. It's certainly a good thing for the franchise to have a more diverse range of vehicles, ranging from electric sport cars to gas-powered trucks and SUVs and whatnot. I really don't understand why some people are distraught over the idea?
![]() 2023-11-14 19:52 | RealLG wrote And that's why KarltheLG (including me) hates licensing issues very much, as it annoys him very much. Especially the players in NFS. Even he don't need permission to shove over 600+ vehicles in his GTA-themed, Moscow-themed action mobile game. I don't think licensing is the reason why as this car is also in Forza Horizon 5 & lets you install a Chargespeed body kit on it.

I haven't forgotten about licencing. they would need to relicense the cars and probably edit them so they'd be similar poly counts and general detail levels with the existing traffic cars. Dude, that will take EA lots of time and lots of money to license these cars into Unbound. ![]() Need for Speed: Unbound (2022) | ![]() 2023-08-23 18:46 | In an ideal world all kinds of vehicles would be feasible in a game like NFS. The Infiniti G35 (which is also in FM7 for your info), and the Escalade (which also has a baller V performance model) would be cool additions. But at the end of the day, it's all determined by the one dreadful word that simply won't get answers. Licensing. That is why we don't always get what we want. Many manufacturers have always got by with a code known as a non-disclosure agreement, or NDA. Many developers have to know the rules about licensing a car in a major game like Unbound or FH5/FM reboot. They also have to acknowledge that each car is licensed individually and that licenses always run out. There is no "magic wand that makes cars appear" or any form of fairydust or whatever euphemism you want to use. So many devs have to use checkbooks to brands to get whatever deals that benefit both the manufacturer and the game developer. |
