The overall length was between 3.38m and 3.42m, while Kei length restrictions were set to a maximum of 3m. In the 1980s the engine capacity limit for kei cars was 548cc, whereas the City has at least 1231cc. Also the dimensions of kei cars are different. In the 80s, the maximum was 320x140 (height differs between bodystyles, but check a kei van to discover the maximum height). The City was 338x157x147, which was a lot bigger than the kei restrictions. |
