Just look at GT Academy and Forza RC. Both have pretty convincing physics engines. Personally as person that enjoys sims cant say i enjoyed AC and PC2 and rfactor as much as GT and forza mainly because i love to experiment in wide array of cars and modify them and drive odd cars not just pure motorsports i like the options That's the reason I enjoy sims more  You select one or two cars from one class and you practice to become the best with them. You can't do that with 500 cars from Forza and GT. Also about that GT Academy and Forza RC, they are more or less PR stunts. Yes people who won got the opportunity to race with Nissan, but only Jann Mardenborough was stand out. Other's were stuck at middle of the lower tiers. But you can compare racing games like NfS vs. Forza vs. GT vs. Sims. In last few years sim market is getting bigger and bigger, with real life drivers racing in sim championships. Most sim people look at GT and Forza as wannabe sims for kids that people only play to drive cars not present in other games, and yet we have stupid "who is better? Forza or GT" argument. I think previous gen we had a legit console competitiveness both were great and each excelled I see your point, but I think that PS3 had many better exclusives then 360. Uncharted, Last of Us, Metal Gear, Resistance, God of War, Killzone, Gran Turismo vs. Gears of War, Halo and Forza. IMO Microsoft should put their games on Steam, and continue their Windows 10/Xbox One cross-platform playing + some more great games and I think they can catch Sony, even beat them. |
