2016-09-06 12:09 | SizSkiizd a écrit What's a Land-Rover Defender doing in a game set in 1968? Looks like somebody needs to brush up on their car history. The Defender comes from a line of vehicles that began in 1948 with the Series I and remained basically unchanged until it was discontinued in 2016. In 1968 it was the Land Rover Series IIA, which looked like this - not exactly a far cry from what rolled off the production line less than a year ago. Although the car in the image looks more like a Mercedes-Benz G-Klasse, which began production in 1979... -- Last edit: 2016-09-06 12:12:17

2016-08-24 22:05 | It would make sense. Maybe the normal versions come in the game and these "modified" variants are DLC exclusive.
Maxine 2016-08-24 20:22 | Apears to just be a more modified version of the old thunderbird model from Mafia II![]() ![]() So I assumne all DLC cars are just more moded versions of what we allready get? -- Last edit: 2016-08-24 20:22:52

2016-08-23 05:11 | Someone should really delete the front image, we already identified that red personal luxury car as the Lincoln Mk. III. Besides, we have an image of the front of the Buick Riviera available anyway right here: www.igcd.net/vehicle.php?id=97767. Whether or not they are the same Buick, I don't know yet.

2016-08-22 22:32 | The civilian version of this car was actually identified as a 1975 Chevrolet Caprice. It looks a lot like a Gran Fury too, but it is definitely not the 1968 Ford Galaxie.

2016-08-22 04:15 | It doesn't look like a Datsun 240Z at all. the Datsun 240Z has a shorter rear end, and the body looks like it's either from a Ferrari or Aston. -- Last edit: 2016-08-22 04:16:52

2016-08-22 01:20 | That's actually an excellent guess, it really does look like a mid-late 70's Caprice, and I don't know about the body looking squarer, almost all American cars from the 60's and 70's heavily incorporate boxy design. Besides, the car in the picture is destroyed, and this is the only existing photo of the car, at least the civilian version, so I guess until we find out how the car looks like from the back and sides whilst intact, this is a '75 Caprice.

2016-08-20 19:50 | I'm pretty sure that this pic confirms some sort of car customization. In the picture we can see some large racing tyres, a roll bar, splitler and spoiler. In the video you could see other models of the car without the spoiler and roll cage (too far to see in greater detail. In some videos you can also see a massive side-exit exhaust on Lincoln's car that doesn't appear in each video and is unlikely to come from the factory. Also, in the heists trailer there is the El Camino-esque truck with a bed cover and roll cage in the bed.

2016-08-20 18:40 | So, I saw this car in this new screenshot posted on the Mafia Game twitter page. At first sight, this looks like the police car, which we identified as the 1968 Ford Galaxie. The difference here is, this is the civilian version of the police car, and upon closer inspection I believe it looks more like a 1975 Plymouth Gran Fury, and not a '68 Ford Galaxie. Those are just my thoughts, I could use some additional comments to hep us identify the car. -- Last edit: 2016-08-20 18:41:02

2016-08-18 21:40 | Around 7:05 in this new Gamescom gameplay video, we can see Lincoln get into this car and we finally see its name for the first time. Turns out, this car is the Lassiter Courant. Go to this video: www.youtube.com/watch?v=13YNrjcaAOM and watch 7:05, look closely to the bottom left and you'll see 'Lassiter' pop up with 'Courant under it'.

2016-08-02 07:14 | Definitely a '59 Chevrolet of some sort. Not sure why it's listed as a '64 Cadillac DeVille. In regards to the comment above, this car doesn't appear to take direct influence from any one of those three models in particular, considering the little glance of the body side trim that is just visible on the open door in this image. There's one thin trim piece going directly horizontal, and a thicker trim piece beneath it angled slightly downward. It also seems to feature multi-tone paintwork like a lot of late 1950s American cars, judging by what appears to be black paint between the two aforementioned trim pieces. Unless I'm seeing this incorrectly, it doesn't really accurately represent the Bel Air, Biscayne, or Impala specifically in that regard. One thing's for sure, we can definitely rule out the Biscayne, as the Biscayne's body side trim only goes about halfway down the sides of its body (whereas the trim of the vehicle featured here likely continues further on down its body considering the shape of what's visible on the door). Also worth noting is that the Bel Air and Impala both have a little strip of paint within their side trim that's usually a different color than the primary one. The Bel Air's inner paint strip runs the full length of its trim. The Impala's inner paint strip takes up the rear third of its trim. So, I guess the Bel Air is the closest match? 2016-07-11 13:23 | Well, the Stallion name was pretty obvious, but why the hell the marque is Berkley (Mafia's counterpart of Buick)? I don't like it, it reminds me of GTA, where they put every new car under Bravado marque... :
The Wiseguy
2016-06-26 20:28 | It looks as if the car has an extended wheelbase, meaning that it is possibly a Fleetwood or Series 75, even though the front looks like a 62, the body suggests this is a limo. |
