The taillights are a bit different than all of the country squires, but the whole rest of the car is a perfect fit for a 1965 to 1968 Ford Country Squire. The wood panneling makes it a 67 or a 68 model (the 65 and 66 had a more angular look). I'm going to look through all the footage and try to find a front picture of this, even a lousy one. If it has hidden/horizontal headlights it's a 68, if they're vertically stacked it's a 67.

Yeah there's a lot of circa 1969 personal luxury going on here. The exposed headlights and wheel covers are more Pontiac Grand Prix, the taillights are Imperial. But with the upright grille, thick C pillar, and bladed fenders, the overall appearance is Mark III.

The car in the background? This: www.igcd.net/vehicle.php?id=75065

The car in the foreground is a 59' Chevrolet. Difficult to tell what trim level (Bisycane, Bel-Air, Impala) it is without seeing the rest of it though.

Here's a '68 Country Squire. We can see that the taillights of the featured vehicle appear to be turned on, and only the top halves of the lights are lit up (unless I'm seeing that incorrectly). This taillight layout is a bit similar to that of the '68 Country Squire, given that its taillights are split into two sections divided by the reverse lights.

Here's a '67, because better picture.

The Country Squire model actually began in 1950 and ran until 1990 so it is highly likely that this is a mid to late 60s Country Squire. Also I wouldn't rule out the 1968 Mercury Colony Park.

We're aware of this. Patridam and I were specifically referring to the image provided by Burn Rubber, which is an image of a 1973 - 1978 Country Squire. The wagon featured here could very well be a pre-1970s Country Squire, given that this little screencap is currently the only one we have to go by until we get better images of the vehicle, or until the game comes out.

The country squire is from 1973+ while the game is set in 1968 (I know video games aren't always accurate though). The country squire also has a very different roofline from this, with a thicker C pillar, a much thinner C pillar, and a rounded roof end above the hatch rather than the crease seen here. The wood paneling is very different and this car has obvious tail fins while the Ford does not.

I don't know what this is but it's not a mid seventies Country Squire.

I agree. It doesn't look like a '70s wagon, but given that this is the Mafia series we're talking about, I wouldn't put it past them to shoehorn a bunch of cars that are too new for 1968 into the game. Mafia II seemingly forgot that the latest year it took place in was 1951 and featured vehicles and songs as new as 1957. Hopefully the developers have taken notes on the eras their games are taking place in since then.

I wonder if there will be a civilian version of this car, that would be realistic. Did anyone spot a Ford Galaxie like this one but with no police colors? Would be a shame if they did not make a civilian version, especially of such a great Ford.

Ford Country Squire.

Notible things to tell its Ford:

The rear paneling curves slightly upwards at the rear doors just like the Ford.

The rear end looks almost the same. It's just at a different angle.

Biggest detail: THE PANNELING! :p
