2023-06-20 20:49 | I've already stated that I will add the bus when it's available to the public build. Did you not get that? Apparently we're not allowed to use prerelease material as entry pics anymore. Did you remember that Stigbelcher got banned for that? I'm sorry if I overstepped my issue, but it seems like this is the case sadly. Be patient. |

Please tell Vxctec to stop, because it's grating and unfunny. The Model S is a notchback which automatically is a hatchback by nature. The publications are so wrong. Whoever you are Vxctec, these statements you keep bringing up are totally wrong and hyperbolic. The Audi RS7 for example is a hatchback because the glass is part of the liftgate. Same with other vehicles like the Arteon, Stinger. And for the last time, "Vxctec", stop beating a dead horse! It's hatchback, so therefore it's not gettin' changed. Any edits to sedan will be rejected. You can argue all you want but the facts are facts. Any sedan-like body with a glass liftgate is a liftback (ergo, hatchback). Have a nice day*. *I apologize in advance if it was directed to vocal95, but I only replied because vxctec made a statement which was highly inaccurate. -- Last edit: 2023-06-08 02:15:31

Tesla can call it whatever it want but if the trunk opens with window it is a liftback/hatchback, not sedan First, I suggest that you do research on cars where the tailgates open up with the rear window and are still branded as sedans (Volkswagen Arteon, Kia Stinger). 🤦🏾♂️ Second, what makes you think that the Model S is primarily marketed as a full-size electric sedan? Why is it's competition such as the Lucid Air, Mercedes EQS, E-Tron GT etc, come in the form of sedans only? Third and finally, what do you say about all these sites that consider the Tesla Model S practically being a sedan the way it is: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tesla_Model_S www.edmunds.com/tesla/model-s/ www.motortrend.com/cars/tesla/model-s/ To make it clear, I despise Tesla and their vehicles for various reasons and I would never buy one in real life. I don't want people to think that I am defending them in any way when I am not. However, what I'm saying is that the Model S isn't a hatchback and there is evidence to prove that. If you want to see hatchbacks then look at some examples like a Leaf, Bolt EV and so on.

2023-05-25 20:15 | Say hello to your new Volvo VNL, first introduced in 2018 and shown here in the pinnacle form, the Globetrotter XL. Let's recap. Nine months ago, in the heat of summer, SCS Software sent a small group of vehicle designers to Volvo's North American truck factory in Virginia, as they've done it time after time. They're tasked with further building relations with the brand in ATS and also modeled those licensed trucks, a process that took anywhere from nine months to at least a year. It was also heavily mentioned on the Christmas stream with some advanced-state pics. If our calculations are correct, we might get more semis from Peterbilt and Kenworth, in time, hopefully by 2024. -- Last edit: 2023-10-27 15:09:01

I'm acutely aware of some really gratuitous changes to SCS's games, namely ETS2 and their badly-butchered Golf II set to appear in the W. Balkans expansion (which is not likely to be released until at least September or October). Debadging tho, it's dumb. We know none of the cars are unlicensed... Also the Model Y and Model 3 share the same lights... The only sole difference is greenhouse area. Yes we know the model has only one tiny change. But have you even seen the Golf II entry?? -- Last edit: 2023-08-24 07:13:13

It is happening in ETS with an example being the Model Y having completely different headlights.

2023-04-30 01:21 | SCS needs to remove this, since Mercedes hasn't sold a C-Class wagon in the United States since 2007. The W204-gen model was the only one left afterwards, since the S204 is exclusively for Europeans. It looks really out of place and I don't fault the devs for asset reusability (as they are from the Czech Republic). What I wasn't okay with is the listed S-Max on this game's entry.

Antti-san photo_librarymode_comment 2023-04-01 22:40 | Mathias98 wrote I agree, just simply having German origin for a Verano is a bit weird. IMCDB also has an option to add "Built in: [country name]" and "Made for: [country name]" next to the country origin, which could be useful for cases like this car - I think it would be a good idea to add these features to IGCD. That would help clear up things a bit, since there are a lot of inconsistencies on the site right now - for example some of the Opel-based Vauxhalls have British, while others have German origin. IGCD used to have the "made for" as well, but it was removed at some point.

That would help clear up things a bit, since there are a lot of inconsistencies on the site right now - for example some of the Opel-based Vauxhalls have British, while others have German origin. Thanks for explaining this. If it was supposed to be an Opel, or something based on it, then it would make sense to list its origin as German, but this is clearly a Buick Verano which is a US-made vehicle, being in a US based game and is sold directly in the US market, so the origin being American is more valid. The design doesn't match the Opel Astra either, so that's another catch for listing it as a German vehicle. Same reason why some sedans are incorrectly listed as hatchbacks on IGCD.
Place-Holder photo_librarymode_comment 2023-04-01 20:21 | Just to clarify, the "Origin" is to represent where the vehicle was originally created/designed/engineered. Where the vehicle was actually built, is not taken into consideration, nor is the market it was sold in. -- Last edit: 2023-04-01 20:21:27

Vxctec photo_librarymode_comment 2023-04-01 01:40 | Tuppence870 wrote That is pretty much exactly what I said about the Buick, but the Transit is a different case. The Transit has a history as a European market model dating back over 50 years, whereas it only came to the US market in 2014. Ford of Europe is based in Germany, and most EU-origin Fords are listed as German to reflect that, including most other Transits. It's worth mentioning that the location of a vehicle's manufacture is not necessarily what the origin on IGCD refers to - instead it's more about the cultural context of what country the vehicle is associated with. Still would make sense to me to name a vehicle made in a particular location and give it a different origin in another place.

Vxctec photo_librarymode_comment 2023-03-30 07:26 | Tuppence870 wrote I believe the reason for it being listed as German is because IMCDb views it as a rebadged Opel Astra.
