Why it doesn't break the rules...

Its your formatting. It makes your comment body look awful, plus it makes it hard to read. One of these days this format will not be supported any longer, so may-be you should change the formatting or use Imgur, like I do. There's also a href links you can use

///

Going back to this again, maybe BeamNG GmbH should've looked this through, rather than going through the hassle of remastering this, along side the original Roamer. Also, like @Stryder237 mentioned before-hand, BeamNG is in a serious conundrum. Game has been out for over 7 years - and longer in development. Does BeamNG.Drive have a future? Where is this game even bothering to head to? Developement hell (I hope not)? Beam hasn't done anything to a possible campaign that many fans were hoping for! 7 years, and this is the best that this is? Are BeamNG not putting any effort towards the core elements? Why haven't they considered adding loads of gens for each car? It's been complicated. Development is in troubling times because of the current situation we still live in, and the problem is excalibrated even before the coronavirus pandemic.

It's rather sad, very sad, that a game with so much ambition, so much potential as a game changer, ended up going to waste. There's hardly any compelling content to keep you interested. Is there any hope for a better BeamNG? Given the current situation, not so likely. :(

A community-led design philosophy sounded great for this game at the time, and games like the Transport Fever series (of which I'm writing an elaborate wishlist for future games of the series atm) does this fairly okay. BeamNG, however is a rough scene. There's nothing wrong with a good game made for the community, you know.

This is heavily based on an '86-'87 Buick Skylark. far less influence from the '85-'86 Olds Cutlass Ciera.

The front faschia is almost a carbon copy. The overall platform proportions and shaping is much softer according to the late-80s GM design philosophy in the N-body Skylark compared to the sharper and more dainty forms that dominate the older A-body Cutlass Ciera.

The main influence the Ciera has is on the dash design and taillamp layout. (the c-pillar/rear windows and rear portion are even more similar to the N-body Olds Calais coupe) Everything else screams Skylark. It's a very good N-body stand-in.

Yup, you're right. Santa-Fe is a a bit bigger than Cherrier.

I think current generation of Hyundai Kona is much closer to Torgrac design-wise than anything else that i was able to found.

Front: upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/3/3f/2018_Hyundai_Kona_%28OS_MY18%29_Active_2WD_wagon_%282018-10-12%29_01.jpg
Rear: upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/8/87/2019_Hyundai_Kona_Electric_rear_charging_4.2.18.jpg

I still not 100% sure about it tho, since Tograc is just a mix of every modern trends in crossover manufacturing. So, there's possibility that this page would be forever marked as "made for game"

@AudiRS4, your pics don't look well on the rest of the entries, so we'd reject it, well, I'm taking my liberation now.

But I would say Lincoln Navigator tailights though as opposed to the Lexus LX.
I mean, they are both made by Ford. So basically they just added a little "luxury" touch to it. The developers would just keep it American.

Actually, Lincoln Navigator might not be a bad idea for this either. Considering the early Roamers are based ‘90s Explorers and Expeditions, plus the fact that the majority of Gavril vehicles in the game are based on Ford products (or Ford-related products, like the Grand Marshal based off a Mercury Grand Marquis rather than a Crown Vic), Navigator might not be a bad guess.

The front end does look similar to the 2000s GMC Yukon. But like most BeamNG vehicles they are a combination of design stereotypes of the time and vehicle type.Instead of "Make a Skyline, Except it's not a Skyline, whoa!".

Yes, the game needs LOADS more cars. Just think of the D-series - if it's a truck line running since WW2, it will need at least three generations that came before, and three after, the current '88-'94 D-series. To add as many cars as the game needs, they need to add two or three totally brand new cars per update, instead of two or three a year, and that's if we're lucky. I think the realistic, (usually) well-designed cars, with history and trim levels, is a big draw for Beam. But it doesn't mean anything if you don't have enough cars.

I think the solution to adding all the variants to the page is add the variants in the comments? The page isn't cluttered but the information is still there for those that need it.

Am I the only one who thinks the Beam devs have bit off more than they can chew? The game had been out for seven years now, and in development for longer. It's no where near finished. It has 26 cars and a dozen or so maps, most of them small. The only gameplay is free roaming or the scenarios, basically mini-games. The most recent update only added water physics, and remastered what already existed. (The Roamer and Industrial map)

Whenever the game gets a new update, the BeamNG community go crazy for more features. Now they've added water physics people on the forums want snowrunner type mud physics. The community is awful, you critice the game and people act like you're a heretic. Mod makers are abused constantly, and the community praises every tiny update, and rave about Beam players are lucky that they get small updates twice a year.

In the past, Beam devs have said they want a story where you buy and fix up regular cars and use them in various challenges. How many years will that take? 10? 15?

I just use Beam to test my Automation cars now. Beam doesn't have enough content to be intresting, and the physics arn't good enough to make driving around fun. It's a shame, because when I was younger I bought into the hype of Beam having game changing physics and an amazing community-led design philosphy. In 2012, they posted a lot of the games cars on the forums and asked people to vote on what is added first, with the implication all would come soon. Eight years later, they've still not done with that list. (The Solidad Wendover is the last car)

I don't like to rant, but it's hard too see a game with so much potential go to waste like this.

The front does look Escalade-like, but if you REALLY look close, it actually appears to be Ford Crown Victoria parts.

The grille is a near perfect match, only main difference is the fact that there's three vertical lines on the grille, where the CV has four. The five horizontal lines, as well as the overall design matches the CV perfectly.

Then, there's the headlights, which look like they took two sets of CV headlights, stacked them together and merged them into single units that look Escalade-like.

The yellow paint also doesn't help making the front look like anything other than a Crown Vic, IMHO. Is there a taxi version of this?
