Maybe we should have a "click to view" gallery. That way nobody argues over who gets to provide a screenshot. Unless if the main picture is already decided they could go in the gallery

Stressful race. Expert Seasonal, Grand Valley race cars. This is really not the car for it but it is possible to win . . . just don't ever lose any speed. Carry as much as you possibly can. Make one mistake and they'll have you. A very average if forgiving car.

And yes, that's a Pagini Zonda R I'm inching past, on the last lap, approaching the finish line. I should have chosen a random rally course.

You know that despite not having a Ferrari badge on it, and old Enzo being rather adamant that no Ferrari should have less than 8 cylinders, it's still built by Ferrari, in the Ferrari factory, with the Ferrari staff. It is still every bit as much a Ferrari as the new DS3 is a Citroën.

Conclusively, the DVLA consider them Ferraris. There is nothing wrong with calling it a Ferrari Dino 246 GT.

Pretty decent in the intermediate seasonals.

Pretty straight foward tune but watch the initial torque in this one though. Not too high and going over crests try not to make it too light on her rear axle. Even if you lose a few mph going over you'll be able to make that up soon as she settles on her haunches and you can tear around the last hairpin while your opponents are still trying not to slid off.

It did have a Rover badge but in 1998 it was still ultimately being made by BMW. Just before BMW dropped Rover like a hot potato after appropriating the Mini badge and making the Mini's history BMW's own. Have you seen the present Mini website? It's disgusting how they're shoehorning BMW in as if they made it in the 1960's.

Many thanks to Eran0004 and Gerome19. Lots of fun to be had. I've made a lot of these and can't just choose two, so please choose two that you think best exemplify the Mini.

Doesn't Brat also refer to a rank in military?

It means a military child. Google defention:

A military brat (colloquial or military slang) is the child of an active-duty military personnel. Military brats are associated with a unique subculture and cultural identity.

It means "Brother" in Polish and some other slavic languages. Google translator also claims that Brat refers to a badly behaving child in English. I don't know if it's true or not but the small drawing on the poster above, just after "BRAT" kinda proves that.

I have the 1.4HDi Exclusive version of this in real life.

The reason I suspect this is a Desire edition is that those alloy wheels belong to the Desire and Exclusive and the Exclusive didn't come around until later.

Using a tuned up version of the 3 litre V6 (ES9) used in the Xantia.

Hydractive suspension set real low, as you would. The hydractive suspension was derived from the hydropneumatic suspension, tested on the rear axle of the Traction Avant 15H test car before being used in the 1955 DS19.

Now there's two cars that Polyphony should really have tried introducing to GT6

2016-04-07 13:28
Although Polyphony insist this is a Typ 1, the Typ 1 is the Beetle. This is the VW Typ 14, debuted in October 1953 and went on sale two years later. The 1,493cc (1500) flat four Typ 14 was introduced in 1967.

At first I had confused this with the 34 but then the 34 would have been 'Der Große Karmann', 'Razor Edge Ghia' or Typ 3 Ghia which also ran a 1500 and was introduced in September 1961.
Citroën 2CV

Citroën 2CV Type A , from July 1949 to July 1959, 375cc, & 8 bhp
Citroën 2CV Type AZ, from Oct 1954 to Oct 1955, 425cc & 10½ bhp

Before all this however The Type A should have an oval around the chevrons on the front grille, the car Polyphony have made clearly doesn't. The car that Polyphony think is a Type A is in fact a Type AZ.

Of course that's not the only inaccuracy they've committed.

1) The handbrake on a 2CV should work on the front wheels, not the back wheels.

2) The 2CV's front brakes are inboard to reduce unsprung weight and so, nomatter if it's disc or drum, you wouldn't see them anyway.

3) Tiny little inaccuracy concerning the shape of the floor pan. The widest point should be at the b pillars, not the C pillars.

4) The rear license plate and tail lamps are completely wrong. The License plate should be split with a light in the centre of it illuminating both halves equally. Like in this picture.

5) WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED TO THE FUEL FILLER CAP? I mean I know these things don't run on much fuel (ten times around Tokyo SS7, flat out, on one tank) but come on! It was there in GT5 and even GT4, but I guess they didn't think it necessary in GT6.

Yeah, really strange considering the name's not even in the window of this model's earliest appearance, Gran Turismo 3. igcd.net/vehicle.php?id=1529
But back then, I think Polyphony were trying to save money by not using names of rally car drivers on rally cars in the game. Not that they did that for all rally cars, as on the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VI Rally Car, the Marlboro text on the real car is replaced with 'TOMMI' on the in game car. igcd.net/vehicle.php?id=7584 I think they had to use Tommi Makinen's name to put the Tommi Makinen Edition Lancer Evolution VI in the game.

Polyphony have Loeb's outfit and his 2008 C4 WRC with his name on the side window.

It's curious that they don't have a name on the side of this one. I suspect it's because this is Colin McRae's number 17 car and since he had his own games at the time they didn't have permission to use his name in the window.

Hard to say if this is his really since he had a tendency to go through so many cars.
