Well, this is wrong. It was designed in 1902 and was first presented in 1903. The 1902 version was poorly armed, and thus of no interest to the French military. They improved it, and was accepted in 1904 - and entered serial production.

its not an Austin, Austin armored cars always had no grilles. Judging by the french flag on the bottom it could be a french car maker but i couldnt find out which
