2016-10-03 00:42 | I know, there's some great Australian vehicles they could easily add in that aren't Holden or Ford. - Toyota TRD Aurion (323 hp/241kW and 295 lb-ft/400 N·m torque) - Eflin MS8 Streamliner (powertrain derived from Holden parts, 5.7L V8 with a minimum 329 hp, top speed of 171 mph) - Tomcar TM2 (designed as a specialist military vehicle (similar in intention to the Lamborghini LM002) but also offered as a recreational vehicle as well) - Goggomobil Dart (produced by Buckle Motors Ply Ltd., based on regular Goggomobil mechanicals, about 700 built) - Devaux Coupe (inspired by French coachbuilt cars of the 30's, offered with either a 3.4 liter Jaguar straight six or a 5.7 liter GM LS5 V8) - Bullet Roadster (Various hyper Miatas, based on the NA body. www.bulletcars.com/cars/) - OKA 4WD - Any generation and variant of the Chrysler Valiant |

2016-10-02 22:27 | True, would have been nice to get a locally built Rambler Rebel (built in Port Melbourne by Australian Motor Industries) as well, especially if it was the station wagon. Fact: In Australia, the Rebel was not offered as a 2-door, only the 4-door sedan and station wagon were offered, and they continued production into 1971, after US production ended in 1970. There were also Rebels built in New Zealand, by Campbell Industries in Thames. Both Australian and NZ built models retained the 1967 Ambassador dashboard and instrument unit, and unlike Australian built ones, Campbell built Rebels never received the new AMC 360 V8 in 1970, sticking with the older 304ci V8. Would be nice to see one of them appear as a DLC car. |
