Sold in Brazil ? What the hell did you smoke ? Te brazilian Ford compact car in the 60's, 70's and 80's was the Ford Corcel, a brazilian enginered car who share the platform with the Reanult 12.
This is the Corcel I

"Race on Sunday, commute on Monday." just describes that Cortina.

You know, I'd really like to see the Talbot Sunbeam Lotus in Forza (or any other game) - for some reason it's been completely ignored in rally and racing games, even though it won the 1981 manufacturer's championship in WRC...

Here's Texan barn find. www.lotus-cortina.com/photos/gwynne/barnfind/bf-pic.htm
I think the only difference with the European model is all-red rear lights. The Euro-version have the upper third in amber color.

According to the site below, they were:

Quote It should be noted that the Lotus-Cortina was available in the USA. It became available on September 1, 1965, at the rather imposing price of $3420, clearly an attempt to sting those who wanted nothing more than to emulate Jim Clark at the Indy 500. However, when the Mk.II model arrived the Lotus-Cortina version was no longer officially available.

Yep. :) (look close, and you'll see the steering wheel on the left)

On a slightly related note, who doesn't love bringatrailer.com (that's where the image came from)?

I think everyone on this site drove this countless hours in PGR4 while waiting for it to arrive in Forza
