2020-05-13 02:47 | That would be a 'Private Hire' signage. Different than a normal taxi, as they're only licensed for pre-booked hire, and not to be hailed at random, which are 'Public Hire'. This would be one of the more common types, as a plain black car with the signage on the roof, though there are liveried ones in Japan as well, the most well known of those being white with a blue stripe along the side. In a sense, it's kind of a predecessor to Uber and Lyft. |
