2018-01-28 03:47		If I recall properly, for instance...Top Gear (the original iconic trio) compared the profile of the 970 to the Austin Maxi (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Austin_Maxi), with it's 'elephantine' rear.

Whereas the 971's more 911-like styling (especially in the rear) puts it more akin to the 989 prototype (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Porsche_989) developed between 1988 and 1991.

2018-01-27 23:06		The Sport Turismo sure is a stunner. Porsche did a phenomenal job when they designed the 971, solving all of the 'issues' with the predecessor 970.

Interesting fact: The Panamera [971] has a centrally mounted tachometer that is a nod back to the 356A.
