Bear in mind, that several of these automobiles are modified immensily to make them look imaginative. That's why I said Chevelle. Chevelle is an ordinary musclecar that obviously can be inspirational enough to copy it. As far as I'm concerned, it's indeed hard to believe that Chevelle is the car that solely brought the Sabre on the scetch-board. I'd say the car is cropped from several A-body musclecars. I'll say there are three different cars in this one, rear is Oldsmobile 442, sides are from a Chevelle or maybe even a Beaumont Acadian and I figure the front looks like a Buick GSX.

Because sadly, this site is overpopulated with kids who only pretend to know something about about cars. I can't count the number of times American muscle cars in games are just identified as "Dodge Charger," because a loose-lipped 14 year old from somewhere like Eastern Europe identifies it as a muscle car, yet Dodge Charger is the only muscle car he knows.

The car is a 1970 Oldsmobile 442 W-30 with a slightly altered grille, the same as the Sabres in the previous GTA games. I don't see how anyone with eyes, especially not after 440 Mopar posted the various angles, can dispute that.

How can you fools sit there and say this is a Chevelle. Enlighten me and tell me what on this car looks like a Chevelle? Because really I'd like to know. I'm going to make this as clear as I can. This car is quite clearly based on a 1970 Olds Cutlass or 442 if you want to call it that. There is debating the back..just look at it for christ sakes! It's exactly the same! Now for the front I say it's more like a 70 Buick GS/Skylark than the olds, mostly because there is no split in the grill, it isn't exact, but certain;y closer than a Chevelle (a '70 I assume you people think it is??) but usually in video games it never is. One thing on the hood is the 2 scoop openings which ARE like a '70 Cutlass though which I circled. There..Case closed.

It's a modified '70 Olds Cutlass! The back is just like one. And front is more like a Buick GSNo way is it a Chevelle.

It's definitely some type of '70-'72 GM A-body, though it does strongly resemble a '73 or '74 Roadrunner or Sport Satellite in the headlights and grille.

Given the fact that the headlights and grille don't look like any A-body (Buick Skylark/GS/GSX is closest, but still pretty far), I'm going to consider them a simple alteration. Also given the taillights look IDENTICAL to a 1970 Oldsmobile Cutlass/442, I'm going to consider that more than coincidence.

It's pretty much got to be a 1970 Oldsmobile 442, just like previous Sabres in previous games.

I'm going to argue that it more closely resembles a 1973-74 Plymouth Satellite than a Chevelle.
The grille, headlight bezels, fender forms, and trunk lid are all closer to the Satellite.
Here's a '73 Satellite for reference.

This is already listed: www.igcd.net/vehicle.php?id=10166

I have deleted the old page as this is a better picture.

Ooops, just before i deleted the page, i realised that this is the Turbo version of the car, so we will leave the old standard Sabre.
