Volvo FH Deus Ex: Human Revolution (2011) | That's essentially what I was trying to say before. The grille+headlights are straight from a Volvo FH (not in the concept art though), but the rest of this truck appears to be a very different beast.
Volvo FH Deus Ex: Human Revolution (2011) | I'd love to see you reverse that around a corner.
Volvo FH Deus Ex: Human Revolution (2011) | Sorry! Had to remove the concept art. The deleted truck image was for the "burning" one..... The one above, I have no idea. I was not involved on that one. -- Last edit: 2013-11-14 02:44:35

Volkswagen L1 Deus Ex: Human Revolution (2011) | Greetings people! I didn't know such website site existed. It's pretty cool! Drum roll the answer is: In 2009, we were inspired by the design of the VW L1 (2009 model)! A 2 seater (front/back configuration). All we did was stretch it in width to create a side by side 4 seaters and made it a cab forward windshield design. The VW XL1(2011) never existed back then. I will look at the other cars in this site to see if you guys guessed right. I was one of the props concept artist on DX:HR and Art Directed many props in the game(all the vehicles actually). Now props AD/concept artist on DX: Universe. Very good analysis! Thumbs up! megatrong.deviantart.com/art/Gaming-industry-259116179 -- Last edit: 2013-11-02 03:58:14
Volkswagen L1 Deus Ex: Human Revolution (2011) | Rinspeed wrote I don\'t see the VW in the car you said, not the same, even if other member see the same than you, some dont\' see it, like me. So it\'s democracy, you aren\'t here to say that your opinion is the right answer at the problem. Can I point out that the entire reason this began, was because most people in this thread think it is a VW? In a true democracy, that would be the accepted answer. Anyway, can I have another stab at this? I didn't really think it would ever come to this, but here is my super detailed analysis of the three cars involved: From this, I think that the developers used styling cues from the older 2008 VW L1, before enlarging the car to fit a small family and 4 doors (the real L1 has a single seat). However, this does bring it very close to the size of the 2-seater VW XL1 from 2011. -- Last edit: 2013-08-16 00:39:36

Volkswagen L1 Deus Ex: Human Revolution (2011) | Tuppence870 wrote It is not the case here. There is 1 thing that is different between the in-game car and the XL1. ONE THING Would you like me to go through every game I know and show you what other cars have one thing that differs with the real car? Because I am going to do that until these changes are made. I'm sick of the poor consistency on this site, and I can see exactly why Marec went "insane". Calm down! We aren't at your service and you had not to menace us with spam or something else. If you don't understand that we aren't ok with your proposition, it's your problem. Each member can post his opinion, but we hadn't here to have order from some member. So calm down or you will be ban (and there will be not another warning, like for the other members that don't read sometimes warning and dont understand after why they were banned). Also for all the members: all the admins aren't here 24h/24 so if they don't change a car or something else, be patient. Sometimes, we hadn't time to read all the comments also. So don't be agressive with the admins, please. I remember to you it's not a professionnal website, just a site with fans, so we weren't paid for that and had a life outside web.

Volkswagen L1 Deus Ex: Human Revolution (2011) | Antti-san wrote There are similarities, but the cockpit structure is quite different (the Motokun doesn't have a hood like the XL1). I think it's better if it stays as M4G. +1 and no Tuppence, the purpose of the site is to list all the cars in game, not identify the cars used to create models. If they different a lot, they are M4G. This is the case here, similarities but nothing match for the hood and "cabin" driver
Volkswagen L1 Deus Ex: Human Revolution (2011) | The purpose of this site is to identify the cars used to create models in games right? Just look at this image - it's fairly goddamn clear that the VW XL1 was used as the basis for this vehicle: Honestly - how can you not see this? How could anybody look at those two vehicles and say that they look nothing alike? Do you even know what Made For Game means? -- Last edit: 2013-07-15 18:49:23
Volkswagen L1 Deus Ex: Human Revolution (2011) | I can see where you're coming from, but for me it's enough of a difference. -- Last edit: 2013-07-15 18:48:56
Volkswagen L1 Deus Ex: Human Revolution (2011) | Aside from the hood size, it is identical to the XL1... And many people agree with me, so I hope that at least one admin believes in democracy. -- Last edit: 2013-07-15 18:18:43

Volkswagen L1 Deus Ex: Human Revolution (2011) | Rinspeed wrote not the same car What do you mean? If it's because some people said VW L1, and others said VW XL1: the XL1 is the direct successor to the L1 (the two cars are very similar), but due to the roofline and width of the Deus Ex car, it is slightly closer to the newer XL1. I would be happy if either of these cars was chosen. If it's because you think that it looks nothing like a VW (X)L1, then what is the point of a comments section anyway? -- Last edit: 2013-07-15 17:52:40
