mbr wrote Looks more like some sort of Chevrolet than a TVR to me Nope. Rear end curvature is similar to that of the 1998 TVR Speed 12 Race Car and Project 7/12.
mbr wrote it has bit of De to maso in front www.seriouswheels.com/pics-def/DeTomaso-Pantera-Red-Front-Angle-st.jpg maybe it's inspired by some other car elements No. And De Tomaso is two words. -- Last edit: 2019-07-12 19:40:50
mbr wrote looks more like a Peugeot 406 Well, it's not. The wheels are obviously Alfa Romeo-style dial wheels. -- Last edit: 2019-07-12 19:39:39
Automotive Gaming wrote Seems to be a Renault 5 Turbo more than a 205 Turbo 16 Yeah, I'd have to agree
This is in the Japanese release on Dreamcast, not sure if it was taken out of the American or European one, on either platforms. -- Last edit: 2019-07-12 19:36:14
Automotive Gaming wrote Alfa Romeo 145, also because "541" is flipped "145" lol Exactly!
Automotive Gaming wrote Ferrari 288 GTO I see the inspiration, particularly in the rear. However, I'm not entirely sure if the entire vehicle is based around a eighties Ferrari. -- Last edit: 2019-07-12 19:26:07
Curiously, the grille and headlights are altered 1997 Nissan Gloria Gran Turismo (Y33) ones, on the Type-A variant. Very clever! -- Last edit: 2019-07-12 19:03:43
actual name is "Trust 541", there is a space. Wasn't exactly sure what side to post, so I'll post the front. It makes it quite obvious as to what it is.
Konkordski wrote yyyeah. that's definitely not a pt cruiser. I totally suspected it all along, haha! It's a plausible guess though, considering both are early 00's retro-futuristic cars. -- Last edit: 2019-07-12 18:05:35
Well, the rear end shot narrows us down to a Ferrari. Koenig Specials F355, or standard F355 would be acceptable. -- Last edit: 2019-07-12 18:56:22 (Klumb3r)
Should be a Fairlady Z due to the game's origin. -- Last edit: 2019-07-12 18:53:40 (Klumb3r)
Hard to identify this because of the ability to change lights by changing the type, so I would remove the year. -- Last edit: 2019-07-12 18:53:24 (Klumb3r)

Solarriors wrote Well I didn't meant it started in 2001, and I was only wrong about 2001 instead of 2003 Can you rephrase that?
Solarriors wrote There are other variants that can make this car look more similar to an actual model An actual model of what?
It's quite a hodge-podge of Corvettes. C2 rear window, C3 rear end, greenhouse area is also C3-esque, (note the lines in the roof...t-tops?), and the front is pretty damn generic but overall looks very eighties. It's a tricky one, I'd just list it as a Sledgehammer just to wrap it up, honestly. Different people see different things. -- Last edit: 2019-07-10 19:18:38
Great job, Automotive Gaming. There are no noticeable exterior differences between the different years of the C5 Z06 as far as I'm concerned. Internally however, the Z06 was given an increase of horsepower in 2002, going from 385 hp to 405 hp. -- Last edit: 2019-07-10 19:13:30
Aginnon wrote Nissan Primera/Skyline R32 mishmash. it’s a Mustang GT convertible though...
Fact checking, people. You need to do it! Most definitely a 206.
TheGreaser wrote Take it easy, guys. He's new to the site. To me the front looks like a Murcielago. Doesn't matter. Either you know cars, or you don't.
Aginnon wrote Game says that it's a '68 GTO for some reason... Because, it is one. A rare one though- only 2,108 were produced with a chrome front bumper. Hate it when people constantly change things without fact checking. Please, do some research! -- Last edit: 2019-07-10 01:59:14
Auto-Friki wrote The rear is a Lamborghini Diablo, but the front is a Italdesign Calà. Don't think you're very fit for this site if you believe the front end of this car is a Calà.
We really need better images of this thing, lol. Lights seem to be lifted off a 90's Toyota Chaser (on the Type-A variant), oddly enough. -- Last edit: 2019-07-12 19:29:57
I would have to go with New Beetle Convertible. The proportions make sense for it to be one. The New Beetle cabrio concept was out by MY94, production model in MY00. Could say that it's an RSi due to the bodykit, but it'd have to be labeled as a custom one or something as that didn't come out until MY03.
This is an BMW M3 E46. An extremely low-poly mesh of one shows up in F.E.A.R. as a distant background vehicle, so I would not be surprised that they had the refs for it lying around, or a model leftover from the cut chase sequence in said game. Visual cues shared between the two would include the tailights and the wheels. -- Last edit: 2019-07-04 05:17:27
Same vehicle as featured in the original F.E.A.R., listed here. Note the absence of the ATC logos on the Condemned variant.
Same vehicle as found in the original F.E.A.R. It is listed as a Nissan Skyline here, however the wrecked variant is not shown.

Rush_Freak wrote ^ What Schaefft said This isn't "being lazy", it's adding surprising depth of believability to something fictional. Real automakers do this almost all the time. I'm honestly very impressed by these models, they were clearly made by someone who actually studies auto design instead of "I'm not allowed to copy a real car so I made a box with wheels because I looked at a photo of a car once". Looking back at my original comment, I have changed my mind. I do agree with both of you. I appreciate seeing this in videogames. And proper auto design is actually something I enjoy to see in videogames. Lots of cars in this game I do look at and think are better than GTA games, especially nowadays. I adore real passenger cars you see on the roads, with character, this game has plenty of it. -- Last edit: 2019-02-24 06:14:05
schaefft wrote Well, they just sold the game to me, what other game has an STS, E38 and W140 that you can drive? I am most suprised by the inclusion of the STS. I would love to see these models ported to other games though, they would benefit greatly from these unique cars.
some sort of modern audi sedan?

TrueCrime wrote Please stop with your attitude. He's just saying that the shape resembles the Villain Wheels. Which is kinda illogical since you're on a 2004 game. excuse me, I am not being violent. you should tone down this is not healthy to get angry at every person

Automotive Gaming wrote No you don't! Stop editing stuff! This is not a Wagoneer. +1 agreed, this is not a wagoneer. wagoneer is more sharknose in design and is generally more of a 60's vehicle design...this suv is more modern and matches cherokee or wagoneer. its not even full size. do you see wood paneling and say "wow this is wagoneer xd" well no that is not the case. |
