Looks a bit like a Saab 90 or a Ford Del Rey. Both lack a vinyl roof, though.
Apart from the large tailfins (obviously from 59 eldorado) and the inner amber tail lights, it looks like a 1959 buick convertible.

Enemy car for Amiga version. Looks like a De Tomaso Pantera 90 Si (1990), a Vector M12 (1995) or even a Venturi 400 GT (1994). However, all of those cars were made after the game was released (1989), so it would not be accurate.

The bumpers appear to be chromed ones, so it should be late 70's at most. Maybe a 1st-gen Honda Ballade sedan: Or perhaps a 1st-gen Honda Accord sedan: Or even a late Volvo 262C: -- Last edit: 2023-08-17 02:10:27

Seems like a Mitsubishi Pajero rally car from ~1985 to me.
Guys, I think this is not the Ferrari 308 GTB, but the 308 GT4. Look how the tail lights have amber outer color: The shape of the windows also are similar. I think there even were some 308 GT4's prepared for rallying. -- Last edit: 2023-08-17 02:13:04
Even the specs seems off. When the game was released, a C6 Corvette had 400hp, weighted less than 1500kg and was faster then reported spec, with 0-60 4.2s and 300kph top speed. The spec was probably erroneously taken from the contemporary BMW M3 E46, which has specs really close to the those depicted in the game. -- Last edit: 2021-06-30 18:13:31
I looks like an Jeep CJ-5 instead. Note the curved side entry cutouts typical to CJ5s. YJ Wranglers have straighter cutouts.
Guys, this is an Nissan MID4-II concept: The Z31 is a liftback. The blue car depicted there is not. It also misses an rear quarter glass window present on Z31. If you note the bulge the in the blue car's trunk, with a red line resembling a reflector, it looks very similar to Nissan MID4 II's. -- Last edit: 2023-08-17 02:13:59
I'd say its a 1992 Jeep Grand Cherokee if you examine in-game sprites rather than the game cover. The front matches very well (note the amber part under the headlights). Sprites: www.spriters-resource.com/fullview/36196/ Wikipedia page en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jeep_Grand_Cherokee_(ZJ)
I always thought they were 1st gen ford mustangs: cdn.motor1.com/images/mgl/AVO02/s3/1965-ford-mustang-hardtop.jpg
Bike front does not seem to be the Ducati on the cover picture since the ingame bike features twin headlamps, like opponents' bikes, as it's possible to see when crashing: i.postimg.cc/q7LXXD9K/roadrash058.png Also note opponents' bikes in the mirror: megadrive-emulator.com/games/images/road_rash_i.png -- Last edit: 2023-08-02 17:53:37
Road Rash (1991) | The Genesis port also contains a bike buying screen, showing distinct bikes. They are basically these 3 below (the others being different palettes): www.mobygames.com/images/shots/l/28890-road-rash-genesis-screenshot-bike-shop-this-is-the-bike-you.gif gamefaqs1.cbsistatic.com/screen/full/1/8/3/163183.jpg lh3.googleusercontent.com/proxy/oC5RwaD0z9ptnQQJ7c8zRH-W22eh466yYWMKCbsGFTA2GxcVasAGuGrTRU-WT04jzNMe5qdg3VYEndTHA9-26yDRS-I4h72QC9bI7grt0pFWmO_uM90LINVp7VpzXw9qXbuTEA -- Last edit: 2020-05-18 00:14:31
Not exactly the same, but looks close to Zakspeed 881 formula one car, from 1988. |
