The Day Before (2023)
So it all happened. As Silnev and J-2 pointed out, this game was a full-blown disaster from start to finish. The Day Before is a dead game. Or is about to be as the servers will close permanently next month.

www.gameinformer.com/news/2023/12/22/the-day-before-servers-will-turn-off-next-month-as-developer-fntastic-ceases

You can read the statement on X stating the obvious.

Unfortunately, this game is now a lost cause. Nobody owns it anymore and with the developer shut down in record time, a full shutdown of the servers was inevitable.

What a disgrace.

Huh, you learn something new everyday. :D I guess my image of American vans is a bit outdated then. Thanks for the link!

Well, it wasn't just Ford that started this whole European thing. Chrysler also did so too, with the Dodge Sprinter, and eventually, the Ram Promaster.

Speaking of, it is true Ford did sell 114,000 vans here in the year. Unfortunately, ATS has the S-Max, which is an awful vehicle that was added for no reason, and I have protested its appearance. There were no actual models of the S-Max sold in the U.S. because it is an ILLEGAL import, and does not meet the 25-year law. Yes, I know these are Czech devs but they have no idea that there isn't a single minivan at all in ATS. Despite my constant criticism regarding the Ford S-Max, the model is still occupying the virtual-sized America, and made worse by a scenery prop of the same model plaguing the game.

They have not gotten around the know-how of how American traffic diversity is. Yes, the research trips done year-round alleviate this somewhat, but they still barely added any new AI cars, and ones that they did add this year were all SUVs. Why?

I even went up and threw up a banned sticker of that car not too long ago in the hopes that SCS will delete the car for good. It has not been done.

Driv3r was an awful clone, and it was rushed just to cash in before San Andreas' release. Parallel Lines was heavily improved, but it felt more streamlined. That game's story was actually decent for the most part, and was the best one in terms of playability and stability (at least for consoles).

Chrysler 300

Grand Theft Auto VI (2025)
Well here's the deal: We don't know what caused the 300C to die off. And secondly, it was not Dodge's decision to kill it, it's Stellantis. Please remember this because that is how they are called now.

Please quote this.

Anyway, the R&T article about the final 300C mentions that 2,200 models were built to end the year. The 300 will still be around until the 31st. After that, no more.

Blame Stellantis for letting this one die, not sales as I may have pulled off.

There are relevant links to publications that back this up, especially the paywalled Road & Track article here: www.roadandtrack.com/news/a46082277/last-chrysler-300c-built/

Chrysler 300

Grand Theft Auto VI (2025)
It was sales. Anytime sales numbers started to show sickly numbers, many brands have to downsize to where the money is or be turned over to EVs.

Sedans have been dying for a long time in the U.S. and the loss of many models such as the 200, Ford Fusion and the Chevy Impala have exemplified as to why people have flocked to larger vehicles.

Even small SUVs are struggling as of late; Jeep for example killed off its Renegade due to low sales.

It does not take a rocket scientist to know the facts.

Chrysler 300

Grand Theft Auto VI (2025)
What did you expect? The sedan format is dying in the U.S. and to be honest the experiment with the Chrysler 300 wore off after 2017.

At the very least it'll be reincarnated as a EV, but will Stellantis invest that idea?

Who knows at this point.
DAF XG+

American Truck Simulator (2016)
Okay, so here's why this is an easter egg as Hanwoo said it before:

1. PACCAR is an American company specializing the companies of Peterbilt and Kenworth as well as DAF Trucks, N.V.

2. The reason why this is there is to showcase how harmonious SCS has put forth in the partnership with the PACCAR group.

3. It is actually illegal to drive this in the U.S. since we have a 25-year rule regarding how imported vehicles are allowed. There is a show or display policy which this truck does meet those requirements.

4. It is an ETS2 model, complete with digitalized mirrors which are not federalized in the U.S.

5. Lastly you cannot drive this vehicle, hence why it is listed as "unplayable".

EDIT: The blog mentioned the easter egg, and this is the very easter egg shown above.

Seriously? What's the problem?

If you were respectful per the IGCD rules say, then maybe you wouldn't have this attitude that you have. I'm tryin' to help you, but it seems like you have this personal grudge against me.

Also, if the moderators rejected your shots, it's because they didn't abide by the rules. I didn't make the rules but I follow them accordingly.

If they were rejected, then they will tell you why. Same applies for unused cars/assets/beta content.

Hope this clears up this misunderstanding.

Grand Theft Auto VI (2025)
Okay, now that we know what the GTA VI trailer will attest, allow me to unpack some thoughts about the new iteration of GTA VI.

First of all, it's pretty awesome, and as of this writing, the video has hit more than 100 million views. I can tell there's a lot to like about this game. A modern day Vice City will definitely be the dream scenario for years and I want to at least support Rockstar in this endeavor. Bringing a female character is a strong selling point, and Lucia may just be the one stealing the show. Some of us may not like the change, but negativity be damned. The detail poured into Vice City's landscape and vibe is immense, and we're hoping it will match that when it comes out in 2025, if not later. Recreations of Miami Beach, an even higher amount of detail with character models, and the rhythm of a balance of sardonic wit and sin is what made Grand Theft Auto, the series it's known for. Throughout 2024 and '25 Rockstar NEEDS make a strong, adamant commitment to talk at length about the game's details piece by piece, and what ideas are brought to the table, and how feedback will change the coast of the developers' point of view. Radio silence and simple marketing bulletpoints just aren't doing it.

For example, we'd like to know how these missions connect, how many activities will there be, and how much interaction of the world that you can do. There also needs to be a stronger commitment to supporting single-player in addition to the multiplayer, because they've completely blown it with GTA V. I seriously hope they do not make the same sins with its predecessor, with an overdependence on GTA Online.

Yes, I admit the trailer is fantastic, and I do have good faith in how the retail game will come through. But what will the future hold? I am scared to hell as to what they'll do post-release. We've seen massive failures before, with the Saints Row reboot being bombed to negative levels, which, among other things, led to the death of Volition. This is exactly the sole reason why I have begged, pleaded, and wailed for Rockstar to go to great lenghts to talk about the game in detail during the long wait, and having a sizzle reel of content to play with. They need to be screaming from the rafters that this has to be a make or break game, and not repeat the same mistakes that GTA V did, with its arcadey physics, lack of story expansions, microtransactions, and the general overdependence of making things GTA Online only. If we find out that they're tight-lipped about it and release a broken game, this will be a misery no one wants to have. We don't want that. They need to invest their money earned from sales to improve the game, not pocket it because daddy Take Two wants all the money in the world. But the fact that GTA V has been an asterisk of modern gaming, just reaffirms that the initial game will be good, but beauty is only skin-deep. What follows next is an avenue filled with greed, pain, and suffering caused by mismanagement, broken promises, failing to provide endgame content, and ruining the HD canon.

What do you think? Do you think Rockstar should change their act now that GTA VI is coming in 2025? Let us know.

It looks far more like a XV30 Camry to me. Vincent doesn't even have that look.

I mean it's also coming to GTA Online in the previous game.

Grand Theft Auto V (2013)
In case anyone's interested there's a new GTA Online update coming out this month. There's a Grotti-based model of what looks like a F8 Tributo, alongside a rare kind of Karin - one based on the 2002-2006 Toyota Camry.

It's really that expensive.

So it is the XD alright. First truck in Euro Truck 2 to feature a day cab window and the first time the truck has day cab configuration.

This model, which was recently out for customers, set the standard for regional deliveries throughout the European lands. If anything like this is an indication, we might just see more variants like this.
