At this stage, adding this as a DLC car would be pretty welcomed at the moment. To my knowledge, these Corollas are pretty popular with the import crowd.
I love how the driver's not even flinching. I know they don't have animations or stuff for that kind of thing, but still.
If we're lucky, we might be able to turn it into this: www.motorward.com/wp-content/images/2011/12/Lotus-Exige-R-GT-Rally-1.jpg
It's listed as a 2012 in-game.
Truth be told, I find this more genuinely exciting than a majority of the other cars being added via DLC, and I'm not even a huge fan of Civics. Probably because it's free, but it's also one of the few enthusiast cars being added (as well as the SVT Focus, if you'd call it that).
Nah, they'll just include whatever bodykits were available from last time out. EDIT: In-game Marketplace icon has the Focus adorned with rally spotlights, roofscoop and mudflaps. This confirms that (at best) cars associated with rally can be made to look the part as well as made competitive for off-road. Now, the Focus at least makes some sense. -- Last edit: 2012-12-17 13:10:08
forzamotorsport.net/en-US/news/2013_Civic_Si_Challenge If anyone wants to swap out the 2013 Civic and Fit rally car images, feel free.
It's a 2013 model instead of a 2012. Everywhere online says the 2013 model has a new front bumper, new wheels and a new rear wing, but none of that seems to be on this image. I think that was just for the new sedan version though, so I'm not sure.
That's a good point; one of the few things which annoys me about Forza is the little details which spoil your race car. I think the new upgrades go in stages (the Celica had just foglamps in the trailer, where as another image had it had the entire Safari gear like in Forza 4), and the 037 had a little roof scoop. It could be possible the sunroof gets covered up with a roof scoop, but we'll have to see. EDIT: Another thing about all these promo shots and in the trailer is that they make these cars out to be hard-tuned, rally beasts with short ratio transmissions and dirt tyres... yet they still have no rollcage in them. -- Last edit: 2012-12-15 16:33:49
With the storefront, it's easy enough to get the livery of the actual rally car you want, so it wouldn't be worth taking up another slot for the actual version. Plus, with the Honda Fit rally car being added into Horizon, and with rally most likely being added to Forza 5, I think there probably will be actual rally cars being added soon. I mean, they could shoehorn two in right now if they wanted; the quattro S1 and the Veloster Rallycross.
Looks like it. Probably part of the new upgrades. Has anyone else noticed the roof scoop is identical to the Evo IX from DiRT 2? www.igcd.net/vehicle.php?id=26556&PHPSESSID=8a876045c2a0a41fdde4e493f39a87f6 The Subaru also seemed to have the same wing as the Gymkhana car as well. The Codemasters crew reusing their old models perhaps?
Yes. Entered into Rally America, apparently.
This explains the placeholder image from a couple of months back. I heard they have to re-scan the car models to add them to Horizon due to the heavily-modified game engine, which is why we're seeing so many re-runs and light rehasings of cars from Forza 4 as DLC, such as this. On a related note, I'd of preferred a 722 S instead.
Made for U.S., I presume
JDMxFiENx will be pleased!
Appears to be made for USA. Can't tell though.
I'm still waiting on one for Forza 4. Then again, Forza 3's got lots of flak because those who bought all the DLC got shafted as they missed out some additional content on top of the packs, so maybe they've stopped doing them.
Would it have been too much work for them to make this into an original Focus RS? That would have been worth it.
From what I can tell on YouTube, they are. The 240SX from the November pack seems to be selling like hotcakes as all the "drifters" are getting off over it, it seems. Other than that, most people, if they're buying an individual car go for both the free car (obviously) and a car new to the series (like the F12).
Admittedly, I'm kind of looking forward to this one (as it'll probably be the free car) since I didn't feel the September pack on Forza 4 delivered to my fancy. Even so, it's still odd for this to even be here.
Horizon did add the 8C Spider though, which is the same as a normal 8C but 200Kg heavier. I think that was more to do with the theme of an "open, free driving experience" though.
No game with licenced cars would add a Spider when they have a Brera; the Spider would just feel identical albeit a tad heavier. Still a cool car though.
The shape is very 350Z/370Z style, but I think it's the generic headlights which make this an Eclipse.
U.S. model RSs didn't have a spoiler: www.freeautowallpapers.com/data/media/3/Mitsubishi%20Lancer%20EVO%20VIII%20RS%202004%201.jpg Another noticable difference is that RS models had black door handles and mirror caps, as opposed to the body coloured ones on GSR models. -- Last edit: 2012-12-11 17:20:31
You sure? All U.S. model Evos had 5-speeds, Enkei wheels and Brembos. This is probably a GSR. Most U.S. spec Evo RS models were identical to GSRs with the exception of the wing.
I'm still at odds as to why they didn't put a WRX in, instead of an RS.
You can see what the comment is though. I really don't see why you call people out on that.
It's just a game dude, no need to take it so seriously...
WELL LET'S THINK ABOUT THIS SHALL WE?
My only guess is the damage physics force them to have some kind of clear mesh instead of accuratley detailed glass.
They got really lazy when they were modelling this; you can see that it still has the red Recaros the JDM versions have, even though the Acuras never had them. It's still RHD too.
This is the road-car they had to make, so it should be a coupe. It isn't a race car.
I would have gladly preferred the Javelin as the free car. Oh well, at least I have a 3rd Raptor for my collection *groan*
What annoys me about Forza DLC is that the DLC cars always end up in the next game anyway. So you might as well just save your cash and wait for the next game with all the previous game's cars and DLC packs included.
This looks like a DB2 to me.
Says who? | ||
...or you could just download one of the several thousand General Lee designs for free off the storefront.
Koolestboy wrote actually its the mitsubishi lancer evolution x fq-400 Actually, it isn't. FQ-400s have a central exhaust, bigger wing, massive front splitter and an air intake on the front bumper. This one doesn't, so it's a regular Evo X. -- Last edit: 2012-11-21 18:24:14
It's free DLC. I'm not a fan of DLC packs but you can't complain about something downloadable which is free.
This looks like it's based off of the actual M3 GTR race car to me: www.igcd.net/vehicle.php?id=2412&PHPSESSID=8a876045c2a0a41fdde4e493f39a87f6
A mod can make traffic vehicles playable. I know this site doesn't allow mods but it's interesting to note that all traffic cars have allocated stats, and aren't just empty shells running around the map.
There simply aren't enough obscenties in the world to spew at this guy. -- Last edit: 2012-11-12 16:40:18
IT SAYS ROAD CAR. WHAT THE F- MY MIND IS JUST- I CAN'T EVE- you know what? Forget it.

Good point to be honest. Looks like a modern Mustang with classic Boss tail lights. -- Last edit: 2012-11-11 18:47:34
Looks a bit long for a Puma. I always thought it looked like a Dodge Stealth.
Thought so. Is this actually listed as a 2002 in-game?
I thought by 2001, Lightnings had clear Altezza lights?
Looks like an Isetta to me.
If anything, I'd say this is a Bentley Hunaudières with a generic grill, head and taillight cluster: autocognito.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/08/1999-bentley-hunaudieres.jpg |
