Because otherwise everything is consolidated under the same brand regardless if they're "not related". Anyway I don't see the issue. There are more Triumph bikes than there are cars listed on the site. It's almost 2:1. My issue is that the company that makes motorbikes has been a different company and owned by different owners than the (now long defunct) car company, for 87 years. And we already list brands like "Efini" as their own makes. If those deserve their own makes (which I don't have a problem with for the record), surely two separate companies making two separate products for almost 90 years does? | |

The two companies have been separate since 1936 AFAIK. It doesn't make much sense IMO to bunch them both under the same "make", when any company connection other than the name is long gone.
