It's not an Austin FX4 from 1968, it's an LTI FX4S (or a Fairway or another LTI model) from 1986 or later. You can tell by the black bumpers, as opposed to the shiny metal bumpers the older models had.

If there is one word in particular I would describe how to unlock these three police vehicles, all based on the Metropolitan Police liveries of old, it would be: Ludicrous.

Why may you ask? Because Yard-o-rama (no doubt referencing Futurama) is an exercise in frustration, all the way from here to London. Let me dissect this painful head-to-head required for bonus completion.

If you are familiar with these bonus challenges, these races pit you with opponents, while the traffic uses unique cars that you're given to (via a vague gurgling sound) after winning these events.

While the New York bonus head-to-head is doable with the right car (and speed), this one is at the bottom of the barrel. Literally.

For starters, this particular head-to-head has you driving across the River Thames. Three times in a row. With the constabulary being used as traffic props, which makes it all the more frustrating considering hitting a single police van or wagon is an instafail. Worse still is how you're ganged up with this very car when you start the event, and you're placed in an area of London that commands precise handling - something that is very hard to do given the MM2 engine it's based off of - and requires a car with a maximal handling stat.

All head-to-head events have a timer, but this one is arguably the worst ever. One minute and 40 seconds (100 seconds) is barely even enough to make it there, even with the best route planned out. I've tried many times, and it has failed badly. Even the underground section is pretty tough, and that's if you don't run headfirst into a police van, or worse, the game glitches out and you'd fall out of the game map.

I don't know how anyone managed to get these three cars, and how I'd do different is a mystery.
