2012-04-21 09:44 | I'm not sure if information here is still open to be updated by whomever is in charge, but I figure I'll throw my two cents in anyway... As the owner of a 1977 Ford LTD (which has the same body style as the '78), I can say that this car does not look very much like a Ford LTD to me at all, especially the back. Compare to this LTD: tinyurl.com/6vzqz7g If anything along those lines, I'd call it the similarly styled Mercury Marquis because the taillights are at least vaguely similar: tinyurl.com/76w9xu6 However, the rear of the car definitely looks to be modeled after a Ford Fairmont: tinyurl.com/832wutz I'd say the car appears to be an oversized Fairmont (tinyurl.com/6p68ggd) with a hint of LTD styling above the rear wheels and around the grill

One Camargue was made with a Bentley grill: www.rrsilvershadow.com/EGall/EBCam1985.htm I don't think the Developers would have thought of that. They might have based it on the Rolls Royce Camargue to an extent though. The front (and IIRC) the rear are quite similar.
