OutRun 2006: Coast 2 Coast (2006)G-MANN UK (51)It's just that with games whenever you see preview screenshots or adverts it always looks better than the game actually does once you get it. Looking at TV adverts of the lastest Project Gotham or Gran Turismo, you'd think it's almost like they are real cars, but in reality the actual game looks good but not quite that good. 2006-11-08 23:52

It could be from the different platforms, the Xbox version is said to be far more sharp than other versions of the game. Personally, I feel that this game is far more suited towards the PSP for on the move entertainment.

I didn't notice. And they are really good shots. Does it matter that they are slightly different in photo quality?

OutRun 2006: Coast 2 Coast (2006)Star Wars Fanatic EN (487)Those of you who are old enough may remember the 1986 arcade game Outrun - recently the game had a sequel which was soon followed by this version. Coast 2 Coast is basically Outrun 2 SP, which is an exact port of the arcade equivalent, packaged with an all new mode called Coast 2 Coast, which boasts a few new gameplay features. The series has always been a Ferrari fans dream, since the only cars literally available for play are Ferraris, with this game containing the most substantial variety. As ever, the handling is extremely arcadey, and has a driving model similar to that of Ridge Racer, especially with its drifting tendencies. Coast 2 Coast is available on many platforms (I own the PSP version), but rather cheekily Sega made it so that you actually need to own the game on each platform, to unlock further exclusive cars :( 2006-11-08 22:46

G-MANN UK (51)Although the thing about the import/export garages is one you complete the lists you don't get a bonus vehicle, you just have the option of being able to spawn one of the vehicles you've delivered on the list. I think you may have needed to do as part of the 100% completion.

Notice how Mr Whoopee (the face on the side of the van) looks like Ronald McDonald.

G-MANN UK (51)This is one of the hardest vehicles to get hold of in the game, it appears in the El Burro phone mission "I Scream, You Scream" (but the thing is you have blow it up in that mission), and can be found very, very occaisionally in Cedar Grove, Shoreside Vale (it sometimes appears at around 16:00 but it can be gone in an instant if you don't catch it). The thing is you need this for the one of the import/export garages, I later realised it sometimes appears as one of the burning vehicles in the Firefighter sub-missions. It's a funny looking vehicle, it looks a bit like one of those small Japanese vans. It's a bit like the vehicle was an afterthought, it has no radio and can't get dents like the other vehicles can. Instead of having a horn, it just plays an ice cream van jingle if you press the horn key.

Grand Theft Auto III (2001)G-MANN UK (51)Oh sure, it was very impressive at the time, a 3-D version of the game was something I'd dreamed about since I first played GTA1. Although I didn't buy it until 2003, being a PC person, I've always had to wait a little while for the new GTA games. And I've never paid much attention to any of the GTA clones, this is what you want to be playing.

Grand Theft Auto III (2001)Star Wars Fanatic EN (487)Bare in mind that this was the first 3d GTA and, in terms of games which have impacted me the most, is one of my favorite games of all time. This was absolutely phenomenal for its time, as all GTAs were of course presented in a basic 2d perspective, although the Driver series was the first to officially give birth to the 3d driving game. Driver was and still is a separate entity however, and Driver 2 did attempt to become a 3d Grand Theft Auto in some ways with the inclusion of on foot action - but it failed. Long live GTA 3! 2006-11-08 16:23
Grand Theft Auto III (2001)G-MANN UK (51)Other playable non-road vehicles:

Boats:
Reefer (a fishing boat)
Speeder (a speedboat)
Predator (an armed Police boat)

Planes:
Dodo (a light aircraft with most of it's wings chopped off, this makes it very difficult to fly properly. You can see other full-winged Dodos flying in the air but you can't reach these)

There is also a subway train and an overhead rail train in Portland (both look the same) but you can't control these, you can only get on them at stations and ride them.
