Ford Simulator II (1990)Explorer4x4Topaz was exactly like the Tempo, just a more luxurious version of it. I am assuming they included Topaz over Tempo because they probably had a restrictive number of cars they could include (given the technology of the time), and opted for the slower selling (yet better looking and better equipped) Topaz over the Tempo. Its not like Tempo needed promoting at the time, as it was one of of the hottest selling Ford's of that entire generation. 2008-03-04 02:23

Ford Simulator III (1992)Star Wars Fanatic EN (487)The third in the lineup of Ford Simulators arrived in 1992, and much like its predecessors was designed as an advertisement for Ford, in this case showcasing the model range of 1992. Like the others, it once again incorporates an interactive showroom where you can retrieve of each prospective car as well as a driving simulator, which was more developed this time round featuring a more level based design. In comparison to Ford Simulator 2, the graphics were given a major overhaul compared to the restricted 4 colour palette of the previous Ford Simulators. There was also an increase in the number of cars, bumping the total up to 23 cars rather than the 16 of the previous simulators.

1989 Merkur Scorpio
Ford Simulator II (1990)
Explorer4x4Officially all Ford (of Europe) Scorpio's were imported into North America under the ill-fated Merkur brand name. I believe they were called the XR4Ti (but don't quote me on that). Simply put; in Europe they were called Ford Scorpio's, in America they were called Merkur XR4Ti's. It is possible that in this video game it was called a Merkur Scorpio though, for whatever unknown reason.. 2008-03-04 02:16

plymubishijust mark it under coupe, which most are titled as anyway(in the US at least). t-top and targa top cars don't need a seperate listing. they are not convertables is the point i am trying to get across 2008-03-04 01:38

Ford Simulator II (1990)
carchasesfanaticYeap, this is a Merkur, and also ive just realised that on the first Ford Simulator there's only one european car, it doesnt make much sense, therefore this one and this other one www.igcd.net/vehicle.php?id=10553 should be labeled as Merkur. 2008-03-03 11:50

Ford Simulator II (1990)Star Wars Fanatic EN (487)Sequel to the abysmal Ford Simulator, this installment was practically the same but with an updated 1989 car lineup. The depictions of each car were somewhat more accurate, however :p 2008-03-03 00:50

plymubishidon't mark non-convertable cars as convertables, it's not that challanging. even with photos of real cars that the game cars deplict it still takes this site at least a month to correct it. some people need to accept when proven wrong. 2008-03-02 21:37

The Ford Simulator (1987)Raul1983bThis was definetily no racing game. Just a simulator. It was very difficult to overtake any car because traffic was dense. 2008-03-02 13:47
Network Q RAC Rally Championship (1996)Raul1983bGreat to see this game here! I didn't remember what was the name of this game anymore. In the game it was nice that the car slowly damaged and you had to change parts after every rally. I also remember Indonesia's (or was it Philippines?) over 30km long stage. Also while driving you could see your current stage position on the screen (over 200 drivers racing against you!). 2008-03-02 13:40

You will have to ask Rinspeed to make a new category, but i don't see the point as there are so little T-top cars on the site.

The Ford Simulator (1987)Star Wars Fanatic EN (487)Before the Ford Racing series, Ford were responsible for the distribution of a series of Ford Simulator games, designed to advertise current model lineups of the brand which in this case showcased the range of Fords found in 1987. Consequently, there is a lack of any real game content apart from the option fo take each car for a test drive and take part in a selection of mini games. The game also certainly shows its age, with its primitive graphics and even worse sound effects - the sound of the engine being depicted through a retro beeping noise was the source of much humour for a shamefully glorified advertisement.
