Also the horizontal bars on the grill would make it a Chevrolet Bison.

Project Gotham Racing 3 (2005)Star Wars Fanatic EN (487)The Project Gotham Racing series made its mark as one of the Xbox 360's premiere launch titles, featuring advanced graphics but with arcade handling. It also continued to feature damage modeling unlike Gran Turismo, but the third iteration contained a photo mode much like that of Gran Turismo 4. However, I actually preferred the car lineup in Project Gotham Racing 2 since it had a better variety in comparison to catering almost solely to exotic cars.

Guitar Hero (2005)Star Wars Fanatic EN (487)To put simply, Guitar Hero is the best rhythm game to ever grace a console, and I traditionally hate rhythm games with the likes of Parappa The Rapper and Singstar. The Guitar Hero series has since turned into a phenomenal success, due to the sheer enjoyment found from rocking out to a fisher price guitar peripheral and its popular soundtrack. You might ask yourself what the likes of Guitar Hero is doing on IGCD, however - some trashed cars merely occupy one of the venues in the background for decoration purposes. 2007-08-19 00:53
Micro Machines (1991)G-MANN UK (51)I don't mean to be too critical but I thought the point of this site was to show which real life cars (or designs based on real life cars) appeared in games instead of completely made-up stuff. 2007-08-18 23:41
Lotus Turbo Challenge 2 (1991)G-MANN UK (51)I entered this game because I had it on my Amiga 600. Never managed to get that far on it though, the game had 8 stages (where you race across roads in different settings) and I think I only ever got as far as stage 3 on my own. During the game as you go through the levels the game alternates you with the Esprit and the Elan, starting on the first level with the Elan. 2007-08-18 22:56
Need for Speed II (1997)G-MANN UK (51)While I took the pictures for this page I played Need For Speed II again for a bit and although it feels much more primitive now I still enjoyed it somewhat, it's one of those driving games where you do feel like you're going fast (the cars in this game do over 200mph, I'm not sure if the game simulates that speed 100% realistically but it feels fast enough), the cars in GTA3 and Vice City didn't quite feel that fast. Except this time I worked out that there was a difference between simulation and arcade mode, the latter is a lot better because the cars handle less rigidly and it's much easier to powerslide through bends. And after playing games like GTA3 I'd realised it's better to use a 3rd person camera view than a 1st person one (your field of vision is much more limited). 2007-08-18 22:49
Grand Theft Auto 2 (1999)G-MANN UK (51)Some games you still love even if they've been followed by games that are far more advanced, GTA1 was much more of a classic than GTA2, I still like GTA1 even if it has gotten a little old (in the sense you get tired of it, like you do with some films), I haven't played it in a long time (the last time I went on it was to get pictures for the site rather than to play it for fun), but I still look back at it fondly. If you think I'm just saying GTA1 is the classic because it came first, I also think GTA3 is equally a classic because it also started the tend for a new type of game, it took the themes of GTA but expanded them into a larger, 3-dimensional world. But I just don't have any feelings for GTA2 because I never got into it. I think I would still have liked GTA1 even if I'd come to it after GTA3. 2007-08-18 22:35

Grand Theft Auto 2 (1999)Star Wars Fanatic EN (487)Playing GTA 2 retrospectively would certainly have hampered the experience, G-MANN. I remember loving GTA 2 in my underage excitement after playing both GTA and London to death, although GTA 3 will still be the most impacting of the series for me. 2007-08-14 22:12
Grand Theft Auto 2 (1999)badlymad CA (5)GTA2 was a fun game for its time, and fooling around with the cheat codes and the minigames made for some interesting games. I first played GTA2 after GTA1, so it definitely felt like an improvement with the gang system and health meter, among other things. Though the vehicles were not very attractive both in looks and handling, I got around that by using StyED to not just change the characteristics of the cars, but also replace them with converted GTA1 cars. By the time I got tired with the game, I had replaced practically every car with the exception of the hot dog van and the tank. 2007-08-14 21:23

Grand Theft Auto 2 (1999)G-MANN UK (51)GTA2 definetely had more advanced graphics than GTA1 (and especially GTA: London) however I never liked the handling of the cars, it took too long to stop them and reverse them and go from reserve to foward motion, that kind of spoiled it for me. I first played GTA2 in 1999 at a friend's house but by the time I bought it for myself (for £2 in a second-hand game shop) at the end of 2003, I'd already completed GTA3 and GTA: Vice City so it felt pretty dated, it was more impressive when I first saw it. The later games also incorporated features that GTA2 introduced, like the advanced wanted level, so that was no longer a novelty. I still used to enjoy playing GTA1 occaisionally, even after experiencing the post-GTA3 games, but I could never really be bothered with GTA2, I've only ever played it a few times.

Destruction Derby Arenas (2004)Star Wars Fanatic EN (487)The Destruction Derby format climaxed on the PS2, and was beginning to show its age after it first debuted back in 1995. To counter this, Studio 33 attempted to freshen things up a bit by introducing a new more slapstick, cartoony vibe with colourful visuals, stereotypically crafted individual drivers and power ups. As a result, the depicted cars looked like that of toy cars, and the destruction felt toned down, particularly with the damage model which was somewhat basic. The racing action also felt much more slow although it actually made the game feet more refined. However, where Destruction Derby Arenas comes more into its own can be found within the track design, which is simply fantastic, particularly the arenas themselves which sometimes featured hazardous disappearing areas. Despite the gloss, the game still felt like familiar territory of smashing cars into submission - and there is noting wrong with that for car crash addicts like myself.

Destruction Derby Arenas is also notable for being one of the first online PS2 games, and was a joy to play with support for up to an impressive 20 players.
