Gran Turismo 2 (1999) | antp ![]() | I agree, but they also take more time to be made. I'll probably do that for the games that I listed when I will have time, and move the "boring" shots in the comments. |

1970 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme Grand Theft Auto: Vice City (2002) | poncho sd | If the "Sabre" is a 1970 Buick Skylark, then the equivilent of this "Sabre Turbo" would be a hot version of the Skylark called a GS ![]() The stripe could indicate that it is like a GSX (see the special car in the Chicago part of Driver 2), however to my knowledge, this colour scheme was not available on the GSX yet, of course, this rule could be broken in GTA. ![]() The name "Sabre Turbo" would suggest some sort of forced induction. As far as the Buick GS is concerned, Ram Air was available (as the only prominent turbocharged car at that point had been the Corvair). NB the Skylark, GS, GS Stage 1 and GSX were competent car, but is not as well remembered as its GM A-body siblings. GM forced air induction was as follows: Ram Air (Pontiac GTO), Cowl Induction (Chevrolet Chevelle SS), W-30 (Oldsmobile Cutlass S/4-4-2). -- Last edit: 2006-10-28 19:16:55 |

Driver 2: Back On The Streets (2000) Driver 2: The Wheelman Is Back | poncho sd | Hell yeh - I remember that mini - stored in a big underground bunker. I loved the Chicago part of this game, as they got the feel of a late seventies/early eighties action thriller just right. It has the same cold, depressing feeling of some of the films that I love, and the Firebird/Camaro look-a-like and the secret Buick GSX suited the city perfectly. This part of the game is similar to the 1978 film The Driver (though set in LA), but was more acurately similar to a Chuck Norris film called Code of Silence (1985) in which there was a car chase between a tatty 1975 Firebird and a Cadillac limo in Chicago; even the background music is nearly identical. -- Last edit: 2006-09-23 22:35:53 |

Pontiac Fiero Stuntman (2002) | Youlikeyams? | Heh, it just doesn't quite seem right as a Trueno. The back is wrong too. Just doesn't seem right. I'd say it's more similar to a Nissan 240SX [S13]. The lights (at the back) and the front of the body are far more similar. -- Last edit: 2006-09-23 22:05:10 |

Pontiac Fiero Stuntman (2002) | Youlikeyams? | I might be a bit picky here but are you sure this is an AE86? The whole bodyshape is wrong and I found a few things in the front which don't quite seem right: *The nose of the body on the Stuntman car is too long. *The fliplights are not as close to the front as they should be. *The bonnet of the Stuntman car curves down softly, the Trueno's bonnet is a straight slope. *The Stuntman car lacks a top front grille. The Trueno has a lower and an upper grille, between the headlights. *At the front of the car, the nose slopes down then at a sharp 45 degree angle slopes back in towards itself downwards. On the Trueno, the nose slopes down then there is a short vertical tip on the nose before it slopes back in on itself. *There is a slight front spoiler lip on the bottom of the nose of the Stuntman car. On the Trueno, there is no such lip on the bottom of the car. |

The Getaway (2002) | Star Wars Fanatic ![]() | This was an epic PS2 game, with a realistically detailed city of London to drive about in. Whilst the on foot sections were a little uninspired, it was still a joy to be able to drive around a well crafted city in the UK for once. Curiously, back in 2000 a few screenshots emerged but were revealed to be fake:![]() ![]() Sadly the Audi TT shown here was never inserted into the final game. Later on, some in game shots finally surfaced, again with cars that were never seen in the final game, including a BMW and a Jaguar: ![]() ![]() |
