1986 Pontiac Grand Prix NASCAR Series IV
Grand Theft Auto: Vice City (2002)
Murf32 CA (0)Did anyone consider the Ford Thunderbird from 1983?, it was seen alot in NASCAR, so, it would only seem right to have a generic one in the game, here's an image - upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/2/21/Ford_Thunderbird_1983-1987_Aero_Bird-2.jpg/800px-Ford_Thunderbird_1983-1987_Aero_Bird-2.jpg 2008-09-20 16:11
Made for Game
Grand Theft Auto: Vice City (2002)
Murf32 CA (0)Nevermind looking impractical, it's not really a tank. It's a 6x6 heavily armoured car. Try to think of the M-18 Greyhound, but, being very lumpy, very very tough, and having a big gun. 2008-09-20 16:06
Porsche 911 Targa [930]
Grand Theft Auto: Vice City (2002)
Murf32 CA (0)This is an awful mock-up of a Porsche. Why is it the other cars that try to look like Ferraris and Corvettes came close?, this one could have used a little more work, and, while it drove well in the game, it wasn't anything spectacular. www.sellitnowmotors.com/classifieds/user_images/cars/cars.583.1.jpg 2008-09-20 15:57

1983 Chevrolet Suburban Mk.VII
Grand Theft Auto: Vice City (2002)
Murf32 CA (0)Again, close but no Banana, here's a 1986 Chevrolet Suburban, the game truck is close, but, if only the tall side markers, or indicators weren't there, and maybe if the grille wasn't modeled the way it was, then yes, it would have been perfect. www.cargurus.com/images/2008/03/17/01/03/pic-4487.jpeg 2008-09-20 15:37

Grand Theft Auto: Vice City (2002)
Murf32 CA (0)Well from the image I was able to find of a 1975 Buick Riviera, the game car is close, but, not close enough to the actual car. www.musclecarclub.com/musclecars/buick-riviera/images/buick-riviera-1975a.jpg 2008-09-20 15:32
1975 Cadillac Eldorado Series VII
Grand Theft Auto: Vice City (2002)
Murf32 CA (0)While it's been a while since I've played this game, can anyone remember if the developpers got the drive of this car right?, was it a FWD like the actual cars were?, or, was it "accidentally" a RWD as one might have expected these cars to be. Check out Terminator (1984) - the Eldorado smoking it's front tires confirms the drive layout.

1984 Chevrolet Corvette C4
Grand Theft Auto: Vice City (2002)
Murf32 CA (0)If only the headlights/tailights were super close to the actual Corvette C4, again, we'd have another vehicle in the
game that would be similar to real life cars. Not bad cars, but, while fast, they are a little delicate.

AM General HMMWV
Grand Theft Auto: Vice City (2002)
Murf32 CA (0)One of the coolest vehicles in the game, relatively tough too, the OD version could be found on the military bases, civy versions were all kinds of colors, but, looked virtually the same. Like the cab, this too is the closest game
vehicle that's based on real life vehicles.

1974 Checker Marathon [A11]
Grand Theft Auto: Vice City (2002)
Murf32 CA (0)This is as good a side image of the original checker cab as yer gonna get, the game car seems to have a slightly longer wheelbase, but, all in all, probably one of the closest designed cars in the game that reflect an actual car.

1954 Chevrolet Advance-Design 3600
Grand Theft Auto: Vice City (2002)
Murf32 CA (0)Well, I guess this one's open for interpretation like almost all of the cars/trucks used in this game. I think that
this truck could be pegged as a later or mid model 50s Chevrolet Pickup Truck. This beauty I found is close as far as
cab design goes, I'll let you guys decide - www.rrclassiccars.com/c1958chevypickupdone17.jpg

BMW 7 [E23]
Grand Theft Auto: Vice City (2002)
Murf32 CA (0)Well, here's a 1985 BMW 735i sedan, clearly not even close to the car in the game. Maybe if the headlights at least had remained round, it could be argued that it "might" be a 7 series, additionally, if the rear of top of the car was
rounded, the late 80's BMW again would seem probable. Here's an image - auto.howstuffworks.com/enlarge-image.htm?terms=BMW+Cars&page=0&gallery=1

1960 Chevrolet Biscayne
Grand Theft Auto: Vice City (2002)
Murf32 CA (0)From doing a little digging, I found some pictures of a sound 1960 Chevrolet Biscayne, again, creative licencing allowed the developers to use the actual car as a base, but, made it their own. Here are some images I was able to
find. www.rrclassiccars.com/c1960chevbiscayne11.jpg http://www.rrclassiccars.com/c1960chevbiscayne10.jpg

1970 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme
Grand Theft Auto: Vice City (2002)
Murf32 CA (0)Agreed with Skid, this car and the Sabre Turbo have to be Olds 442s. This rear image of a 69 Olds 442 Convertible should confirm the make by the rear bumper/tailights, which again were modified under creative licencing.

1970 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme
Grand Theft Auto: Vice City (2002)
Murf32 CA (0)Wouldn't this be an Olds 442?, I ask only cause the rear end resembles one. The image I dug up here is of an Olds 442 from 1969, the game car sorta resembles this, but, for creative licencing the grille was altered.

Arcade version. Known as RUNARK in Japan.

The game play on Arcade snd Megadrive is slightly different.

1)There are 4 rocket launcher to pick up at the begining of the game, but there is only one rocket launcher for the Megadrive version.

2) In Arcade version there is m16 to pick up , but the Megadrive version uses AK-47.

3) Arcade version seems to have better graphic.

4)The Arcade version have character voice over, but the Megadrive version dont.

Driver: Vegas (2006)
Skid US (0)From what I can see, it looks like a 1967-1972 Ford F-100. The shape of the cab and the crease along the bodyside are particularly telling. 2008-09-20 01:46

1960 Chevrolet Corvette C1 [2934]
Driver: Vegas (2006)
Skid US (0)Width of the headlight pods makes it a '58-'62 "quad light" model, but it doesn't have the deck shape of the '61 or '62, and the chrome strips on the trunk from the 58 are missing.

Therefore, it's a 1959 or 1960 Chevrolet Corvette [C1]

1984 MG Metro 6R4
Colin McRae Rally 2005 (2004)
Murf32 CA (0)This car is insane. The 6-spd manual transmission is clearly insufficient. A 10-spd manual is what it needs. Set this car high up on the Gearbox meter. Anything lower for ratios is pointless. Great little car though, again a good choice in the Group B, pitty that the Renault wasn't along for the run. 2008-09-19 23:21
1969 MG C Sebring Special [ADO52]
Colin McRae Rally 2005 (2004)
Murf32 CA (0)Absolutely delightful car to drive, I say that there should have been a little more to the racing of this car than simply 4-6 stages. One of the nicest RWDs in the game. 2008-09-19 23:19
1992 Lancia Delta Integrale 1a serie [831]
Colin McRae Rally 2005 (2004)
Murf32 CA (0)Virtually impossible to break it's suspension upgrades, as the frame is so stiff, but, once done, for this class it is the most powerful and very, very good. Not the quickest, but, given that it does have the aerodynamic properties of a brick, well, what do you expect? 2008-09-19 23:18
1987 Ford Sierra Cosworth MkI
Colin McRae Rally 2005 (2004)
Murf32 CA (0)Combined with the Ford Escort's similar Turbocharged 4 Cylinder engine, this RWD Cosworth Sierra is the most stable of the RWD cars in the game. More powerful than the Alfa Romeo, not as good for jumps as the Lancia Stratos, far less
nervous/jittery than the Lancia 037, this is the RWD car you do want to drive alot in this game.
2008-09-19 23:17
2003 Alfa Romeo 147 GTA
Colin McRae Rally 2005 (2004)
Murf32 CA (0)Has to be one of the best 2WD cars in the game. 2008-09-19 23:14
1999 Volkswagen Golf R32 IV [Typ 1J]
Colin McRae Rally 2005 (2004)
Murf32 CA (0)Volkswagen Golf R32. Nervous car sometimes, 2nd best compared to the Audi, and quicker than the Beetle. Again, all share the same drivetrain (FE/AWD) have the same 3.2L V6 and the same AWD system, and, the same 6-spd manual. 2008-09-19 23:12
Audi A3 3.2 quattro [Typ 8P]
Colin McRae Rally 2005 (2004)
Murf32 CA (0)By contrast to the Audi Quattro Sport, this is the far more stable of the cars in the game. Part of the Group A Rally
car selection. The low revving 3.2L V6 is sooo nice. Along with the really nice 6-spd transmission and lovely AWD, it's alot better than the R32 Golf, and the Volkwagen Beetle Cup RSi. The last of the 2 mentioned all shared the same
drivetrain and engine, but, the Audi is the best of the 3. Go figure.
2008-09-19 23:10
1986 Audi Sport quattro S1 B2 [Typ 85Q]
Colin McRae Rally 2005 (2004)
Murf32 CA (0)The maddest group B rally car in the game. By contrast, the Ford RS-200 is tied with the Peugot 205 as being the more controllable or stable cars. Adjusting the gearbox to the higher ratio makes this car easier to drive. Being a
Group B Rally Car, it is "the" most powerful with its Turbocharged 5 cylinder engine and 6-spd manual and AWD.
2008-09-19 23:07
2004 Nissan Pickup [D22]
Colin McRae Rally 2005 (2004)
Murf32 CA (0)Great rallying subject, the only problem with it is that it's the last vehicle to unlock, and, once done you have
nothing to race it in!!, what idiot thought that was a good idea??. Great truck though, V6 Natural Aspiration, 6-spd manual, 4x4.
