Hanomag Sd.Kfz. 251
Commandos: Behind Enemy Lines (1998)
G-MANN UK (51)

The most common enemy tank, appears in various missions as an enemy patrol vehicle and as a playable vehicle if you have the Driver. Armed with a machine turret that can be fired. If you click it with the question mark function, it says "SDKFZ 231" but this is incorrect because those had 6 or 8 wheels, this is a half-track vehicle.

Opel Blitz
Commandos: Behind Enemy Lines (1998)
G-MANN UK (51)

Appears in several missions. Can be driven by the Driver when he is present. Sometimes it is driven around by an enemy soldier. Since it is full of flammable liquid it is the easiest vehicle in the game to destroy, one bullet from any of the commandos' guns will blow it up.

Mercedes-Benz L 3000
Commandos: Behind Enemy Lines (1998)
G-MANN UK (51)

The most common vehicle in the game appearing in various missions, it can be driven by the Driver when he is present. Sometimes it is driven around by an enemy soldier.

In the desert missions the truck has a different paintjob:

This wreck of a truck (which looks similar to the L3000) appears as scenery in some of the missions:

CitroŽn 15 CV
Commandos: Behind Enemy Lines (1998)
G-MANN UK (51)

Appears in Mission 15 "The End of the Butcher". Can be driven by the Driver. Two of them are parked outside the Nazi HQ as getaway cars to whisk away the SS General (who you are supposed to assassinate in the mission) in case you accidentally alert the enemy to your presence. Notice the little Nazi flags on the wings.

Two wrecked cars which the Commandos are hiding behind at the beginnin of the mission. They look like they might have been based on this design:

Porsche Challenge (1997)Star Wars Fanatic EN (494)Underrated PS1 racing game, used to promote the Porsche Boxter. Only one car is available, namely the Boxster, but each character available gave a different colour. Cracking little game, with very good grahpics at the time.

MotorStorm (2006)Star Wars Fanatic EN (494)Easilly the PS3's showcase title, Motorstorm is one of few truly next gen games currently on offer - I can honestly say I have seldom played a racing game as intense and frantic as the experience on offer here. Boasting an incredible variety of vehicles, Motorstorm sees you unleashing cars, bikes, buggies, quad bikes and even trucks onto uneven terrain courses, leading to some of the most intensely enjoyable racing moments both offline and online. The graphics showcase the PS3's impecible power, with some truly sublime landscapes and delightfully intricate detailing on each vehicle - you can even witness the springs in the suspension. Unfortunately, as enjoyable as the experience most certainly is, the game simply does not last enough, restricting itself to just one game mode of racing with no extra content on offer, although this is gradually being rectified through the use of updates. Notibly, many of the vehicles on offer were inspired by that of the real life Paris Dakar off road racing.

And I simply must comment that Motorstorm also features by far and away the most melodramatic intro in all of video game history - you would think the announcer was auditioning for Lord Of The Rings. "In this ageeeeeeeless valley" :D

Driv3r (2004)Star Wars Fanatic EN (494)Every Driver is a good game for me, but most people slated it. It was mainly due to its on foot and shooting mechanics and dreadful AI, but the driving was rather good. Driver has always had the best car handling model, and the film director is immensely enjoyable :D Too bad they removed it in the next Driver, which will be submitted next.

Here is a shot that is clearly based on a 2CV that didn't make it into the game:

Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas (2004)Star Wars Fanatic EN (494)Liberty City Stories was a bit of a downgrade as it was first released on PSP, so you didn't get any San Andreas features. A few from Vice City were though, such as bikes and outfits. Then of course we have Vice City Stories which could be the best GTA yet, as it has some brand new features and improvements :D 2006-09-19 00:04

Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas (2004)G-MANN UK (51)I was pleased with the scale of San Andreas, I admit some of the rpg elements are a little pointless (the need to eat for example), and I wasn't really into the South-Central gangsta theme (I found the conquering territories from rival gangs bit a little tiresome), but this only really covered the first third of story. I loved the clothes and car customization, and there was much more to enjoy, I was really glad that you could finally swim. I loved Vice City as well, though some of my friends told me they felt it was a bit too much of a glossy caricature of the 80s and that GTA3 was more gritty and Liberty City was more realistic as a city, and I admit it is more of a pastiche of things like Scarface and Miami Vice rather than a genuine city but I liked Vice City more because it was more glamourous and escapist, Liberty City could be a depressing place. I much prefered Vice City and San Andreas over GTA3, the thing I didn't like about that game was that the frame rate was less fluid on the PC and the graphics weren't as crisp, although my CD did develop a crack in it which has worsened in the three years I've had the game, the last time I tried to play it, it was pretty jerky, so if I ever want to really revisit it I'll probably have to buy another copy. Although there is Liberty City Stories which will come to the PC one day. When I first heard about that game I was a little disappointed that they were rehashing Liberty City because I always felt it was a bit small and uncomplex compared to the labyrinthine cities of the original GTA. San Andreas impressed me because I'd alway dreamed of playing a game where you weren't confined to one basic environment, in SA you really felt like you were going cross-country. I guess the next step would be to create an entire country. Though Liberty City should have a mafia theme which interests me far more than the stuff of gangsta rap.
